Hipertansiyonlu hastalarda hemşire tarafından verilen eğitimin sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışlarına etkisinin değerlendirilmesi ; Evaluation of efficacy of education given by nurse to patients with hypertension about healthy life style behaviors

Abstract

Hasta eğitimi, hipertansiyon, sağlıklı yaşam biçimi, hemşire ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı; hipertansiyonlu hastalarda hemşire tarafından verilen eğitimin sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışlarına etkisini değerlendirmektir. Bir üniversite hastanesinde takip edilen 80 hipertansiyonlu hasta çalışmaya alındı. Hastalar rastgele örnekleme yöntemi ile seçildi ve iki gruba ayrıldı. 40 hasta eğitim ve 40 hasta kontrol grubunu oluşturdu. Eğitim ve kontrol grubu hastalarıyla, üç ay ara ile iki kez görüşme yapıldı. Araştırma verileri, hasta tanıtım formu ve Sağlıklı Yaşam Biçimi Davranışları Ölçeği (SYBDÖ) ile toplandı. Eğitim grubuna hipertansiyonla yaşam konusunda bilgi ve renkli eğitim kitapçığı verildi. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde; t testi, ki kare ve Pearson korelasyon analizi kullanıldı. Eğitim grubu hastalarında ikinci görüşme sonrası sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışlarında anlamlı iyileşme sağlanırken, kontrol grubunda anlamlı değişim görülmedi. Hem eğitim hem de kontrol grubunda ikinci görüşmelerinde kan basınçlarında anlamlı değişim gözlenmedi. Eğitim grubunda ikinci görüşmede hastaların tuz kısıtlı diyet uygulamasının arttığı belirlendi. Eğitim grubunda ilk görüşmede sağlık sorumluluğu puanı arttıkça HDL-kolesterol düzeyinin arttığı belirlendi. Hemşire tarafından verilen eğitim ile hipertansiyonlu hastalara sağlıklı yaşam biçimi davranışları kazandırılabilirken kan basıncında değişiklik sağlanamamıştır. Bu nedenle, kan basıncı kontrolünün sağlanabilmesi için düzenli aralıklarla eğitimin tekrar edilmesi önerilmektedir.

Evaluation of Efficacy of Education Given By Nurse to Patients with Hypertension about Healthy Life Style Behaviors The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of education given by nurse to patients with hypertension about healthy life style behaviors. A total of 80 hypertensive patients followed up at the university hospital were included into the study. The patients were perceived randomly and separated into two groups. 40 patients constituted the education groups and 40 patients constituted the control groups. We interviewed with the education and control groups twice with a three months interval. The data was collected with patient introduction form and the Healthy Life Style Behavior Scale. The education group was given information about living with hypertension and a colorful education booklet. For the statistical analyses; student t-test, chi square and Pearson correlation analysises were used. Healthy life style behaviors of education group was improved significantly after the education programme where as there was no significant change in the control group. There was no significant change in blood pressures of both education group and control group at the second interview. After second interwiev, it was found that salt restricted diet application was increased in education group. However, there was an increase in HDL cholesterol level in education group with the increase of health responsibility points of the scale. While hypertensive patients were gained life style behaviors with education given by nurses, no change in blood pressure was achieved. Therefore, the education should be repeated periodically to achieve blood pressure control. Key Words: Healthy life style behavior, hypertension, patient education, nurse.
