Tanzimat’tan Cumhuriyet’e mekteplerde ahlâk eğitim ve öğretimi

Abstract

Mektep, Ahlâk, Eğitim, Ders Kitapları ÖZET TANZİMAT’TAN CUMHURİYET’E MEKTEPLERDE AHLÂK EĞİTİM VE ÖĞRETİMİ Tanzimat’tan sonra, Batılılaşmanın ancak eğitimle gerçekleşebileceği düşüncesi ağırlık kazanmış; mekteplerde okutulacak derslerin ve ders kitaplarının devlet eliyle belirlenmesi eğitim politikası olarak gerekli görülmüştür. Ders programlarında yapılan düzenlemelerden biri, ahlâk dersi ile alakalıdır. Tanzimat döneminde mektep programlarında dinî derslerin yanı sıra müstakil olarak ahlâk dersine yer verilmiş; bu derse yönelik ders kitapları hazırlanmıştır. İki bölümden oluşan araştırmamızda ahlâk derslerinin mektep programlarında yer alma süreci ve ahlâk ders kitaplarının usûl ve muhtevasını ortaya konulmuştur. Bu çerçevede öncelikle ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim kademesindeki mektepler ele alınmış; daha sonra öğretmen yetiştiren mektepler, Mekteb-i Mülkiye ve Kız Sanayi Mekteplerinin programları incelenmiştir. Ahlâk dersine yönelik yazılmış ve mekteplerde ders kitabı olarak okutulmuş 56 eserin tanıtımı yapılmıştır. Tanzimat sonrasında Osmanlı eğitim kurumlarındaki din eğitim ve öğretimi ile ilgili birçok çalışma yapılmış olmakla birlikte ahlâk dersleri ve ahlâk ders kitapları hakkında doktora seviyesinde bir çalışmanın bulunmaması, araştırmamızın önemini ortaya koymaktadır. MORAL EDUCATİON AND TEACHİNG İN SCHOOLS FROM THE TANZİMAT UNTİL THE REPUBLİC PERİOD After the Tanzimat, the idea of Westernization through education gained weight, and determination of textbooks and training courses to be taught in schools by the state was accepted as an education policy. One of the arrangements in the curricula is related to moral education. During the Tanzimat period, in schools programs, as well as religious sciences, moral lessons were given separately and textbooks for this course were prepared accordingly. Our study consists of two parts: process of moral lessons in the curriculum of school courses and ethical principles (procedures and content) and content of the textbooks (have been determined) .Within this framework, firstly the primary and secondary education are discussed in this context; then the programs of Teacher Training Schools and School of Civil and Girls Industrial Schools (Maktab-i Mulkiye and Kiz Sanayi Maktabi) were examined. I have introduced 56 works which have been written and taught related to moral lessons. Although many studies have been done related to religious and instruction courses on the Ottoman educational institutions after the Tanzimat Era, lack of doctoral-level study on the textbooks in ethics and morality reveals the importance of our research.
