Bazı ağır metallerin sucul organizmalar üzerinde yarattığı stres ve biyolojik yanıtlar

Abstract

Ağır metallerin sebep olduğu kirlilik düzeylerini subletal seviyelerde belirlemeye çalışan biyokimyasal, histolojik ve histopatolojik metodların, hem kirlilik etkisindeki bölgelerde hem de temiz olduğu düşünülen alanlarda uygulanmasının büyük önemi vardır. Sucul organizmalarda, ağır metaller sebebiyle oluşan stres sonrasında primer yanıt olarak biyokimyasal bozukluklar ve bunların fizyolojik etkilerinden de sekonder yanıtlar gelişir. Sekonder yanıtlar bazı histolojik, histopatolojik, biyokimyasal ve hematolojik parametrelerdeki değişimlerle saptanabilmektedir. Bu derleme çalışmasında, sucul organizmalarda toksik ağır metal birikimlerinin yaratabileceği genel sağlık sorunları, stres ve bunlara bağlı olarak gözlemlenen biyolojik yanıtlar irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır.

It is very important to apply biochemical, histologic and histopathological methods evaluating pollution degrees from heavy metals in sublethal levels in both clear and polluted areas. In aquatic organisms, biochemical defects are observed as primary responses due to heavy metals following stress and from their physiological effects secondary responses develops. Secondary responses may be evaluated by changes in histologic, histopathologic, biochemical and hematologic parameters. In this compilation study, it was aimed to explicate general health problems, stress and also biological responses observed due to these factors which are caused by toxic heavy metal accumulations in aquatic organims.
