Abstract

STRUCTURE OF FAMILY AND BASIC DYNAMICS IN TURKEY It's a fact that as the society develops the structure of the family has to develop, as the social struture changes the structure of family has to change as well. These changings may have inner or outer causes. These causes may affect the whole or part of the family. The factors that cause changing in social and family structure can be set in order such as industrialization, urbanization, increase of population the disorganising of the balance between soil and human, the development of agriculture with machine, rising opportunities of communications, becoming widespread of opportunities of education and communication. This study that we tried to explain the structure of family in Turkey is going to be searched as connected with formations in village, town, city and squatter's house in socio-economic geographic structure, not as an independent situation in the family itself. The basic hypothesis above is the structure of family need to be explained as it is connected with socio-economic geographic relations. This study consists of two main parts. In the first part focused on the various descriptions of family, family in Turkey, family in ottoman empire, types of marriage, classification of family, family and functions of family. In the part of various descriptions of family, it is written the description of family according to Turkish sociologs and foreign sociologs and tried to build a general description. In the part of family in Turkey and in ottoman Empire, the family qualifications are tired to be given in general ways. The descriftions of types of marriage such as Poligamy Monogamy, Exogamy, Endogamy, Levirat and Sororat are given in the part of marriage types. In the part of classijication of family there is information about mother family, father family, big family and seed family. In the part of industrialization and family, it has been explained that in which direction did industrialization affect family and what kind of changes did it cause in the structure of teh family. In the part of Functions of Family , family's biological, psychological, educational, sociological and economical functions have been made clear. In the second main part it has been tried to give information about family structure and its basic dynamics in Turkey. Village, city, town and suburb families have been generally introduced. When the general features of family can be introduced under these subtitles;family structure, innner and outer family relations, division of labor, marriage, income and residence. The study which is related to the family structure in Turkey is a theoretic study. First sources related to the subject have been scanned then in the lights of the supplied sources, the subject has been dealt with. At the end, the list of sources which were benefited has been given. TÜRKİYE DE AİLE YAPISI VE TEMEL DİNAMİKLERİ Toplum geliştikçe aile biçimi de gelişmek toplumsal yapı değiştikçe aile yapısının da değişmek zorunda olduğu bir gerçektir. Bu değişmeler iç ya da dış nedenli olabilir. Bu nedenler ailenin bir kısmına ya da bütününe neden olabilir. Sosyal değişme ve aile yapısındaki değişmelere neden olan etkenler sanayileşme, şehirleşme, nüfus artışı, toprak-insan dengesini bozulması, makineli tarımın gelişmesi, ulaşım imkanlarının artması iletişim ve eğitim imkanlarını yaygınlaşması olarak sıralanabilir. Türkiye'deki aile yapısın açıklamaya çalıştığımız bu çalışma da ailenin kendi içinde bağımsız bir durum olarak değil sosyo - ekonomik - coğrafi yapı içinde Köy, Kasaba, Kent ve Gecekondulardaki oluşumlarla bağlantılı olarak incelenecektir. Buradaki temel varsayım aile yapısının temel toplumsal-ekonomik-coğrafi ilişkilere bağlı olarak açıklanması gerektiğidir. Bu çalışma iki ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, Ailenin çeşitli tanımları, Türklerde aile, Osmanlılarda aile, Evlenme ve Çeşitleri, Ailenin Sınıflandırılması, Endüstrileşme ve Aile ve Ailenin Fonksiyonları üzeride durulmuştur. Ailenin çeşitli tanımları adlı bölümde, ailenin Türk sosyologlarına ve yabancı sosyologlara göre tanımı verilmekte ve bir genel tanım oluşturulmaya gidilmektedir. Türklerde ve Osmanlılarda aile bölümünde, aile özellikleri genel hatlarıyla verilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Evlenme ve çeşitleri bölümünde, Poligami, Monogami, Exogami, Endogami, Levirat ve Sororat gibi evlenme şekillerinin tanımı yapılmıştır. Ailenin sınıflandırılması bölümünde Ana ailesi, Baba ailesi (Pederi aile, Bölünmez asaba ailesi, Ataerkil aile), Büyük aile (Birleşik aile, Kök aile) ve Çekirdek aile hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Endüstrileşme ve aile bölümünde, endüstrileşmenin aileyi hangi yönde etkilediği ailenin yapısında ne gibi değişiklikler meydana getirdiği üzerinde durulmuştur. Ailenin fonksiyonları bölümünde, ailenin biyolojik, psikolojik, eğitim, sosyalleştirme ve ekonomik fonksiyonları üzerinde durulmuştur. İkinci ana bölümde Türkiye'de aile yapısı ve temel dinamikleri hakkında bilgi verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Köy, kent, kasaba ve gecekondu aileleri genel hatlarıyla tanıtılmıştır. Ailenin genel özellikleri tanıtılırken şu alt başlıklar kullanılmıştır; ailenin yapısı, aile içi ve dışı ilişkiler, iş bölümü, evlenme, gelir durumu ve konut. Türkiye'deki aile yapısını inceleyen bu çalışma, teorik bir çalışmadır. Öncelikle konuyla ilgili kaynak taraması yapılmış ve elde edilen kaynaklar ışığında konu ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda faydalanılan kaynakların listesi verilmiştir. Yazarlardan ve kitaplardan, ya tırnak içerisinde, ya da tırnaksız olarak yapıldığı yerin kimliği sayfanın altında verilmektedir.
