Radikal reform temsilcisi olarak Thomas Müntzer

Abstract

Thomas Müntzer (1489-1525), Reformasyon döneminin Anabaptist hareketinin önde gelen radikal reformcularından biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Müntzer, Protestan Reformu’nun önemli Alman radikal figürlerinden biri olarak, özellikle Köylü Savaşı’ndaki rolüyle tarih sahne-sinde ön plana çıkmıştır. Martin Luther (1483-1546) ve taraftarlarından farklı olarak, kilise, top-lum ve devlet adına daha köklü değişiklikler talep etmiştir. Teolojik fikirlerini desteklemek ama-cıyla birçok eser kaleme almış ve kilise ayinlerini Almanca’ya çevirerek Reformasyon tarihine özgün bir katkı sağlamıştır.

Thomas Müntzer (1489-1525) is recognised as one of the leading radical reformers of the Anabaptist movement of the Reformation era. As one of the most important German radical figures of the Protestant Reformation, Müntzer came to the forefront of history, especially with his role in the Peasants’ War. Different from Martin Luther (1483-1546) and his followers, he demanded more radical changes for the church, society and the state. He wrote many works to confirm his theological ideas and made a unique contribution to the history of the Reformation by translating church liturgy into German.
