Publication: Hekimbaşızâde doktor Muhyiddin’in Vâlideyne İhtâr Yâhud Kuş palazı adlı eseri (inceleme-metin-dizin-tıpkıbasım)
Abstract
Hekimbaşızâde Doktor Muhyiddin 1871-1936 yılları arasında yaşamış, Geç Osmanlı adı verilen dönemde yetişmiş bir tıp doktorudur. Hastalıklarla ilgili pek çok faydalı eserin müellifi ve mütercimi olmakla beraber bayındırlık ve şehircilik alanlarında da farklı devlet kademelerinde hizmet vermiş bir devlet adamıdır. Bu tezde, müellifin Vâlideyne İhtâr Yâhud Kuşpalazı adlı eseri üzerine çalışılmıştır. Yazıldığı dönemin salgın hastalıklarından olan kuşpalazı (difteri) hususunda malumatlar ihtiva eden eser teşhis ve tedavi konusunda bilgi vermektedir. Bu tez çalışması beş kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Giriş kısmında yazar ve eser tanıtılmıştır. İnceleme kısmında eserde yer alan tıp terimleri tasnif edilmiştir. Metin kısmı çeviri yazıdan müteşekkildir. Eserde kullanılan dil bugünkü Türkçeye yakın olmamakla beraber içerdiği tıp terimleri, Arapça, Farsça ve Fransızca alıntı sözcükler anlatımı ağırlaştırmaktadır. Dizin kısmında alfabetik indeks bulunmaktadır. Sözcüklerin anlamı ve alıntılandıkları dil gösterilmiştir. Kaynakça belirtilmiş ve asıl metnin fotokopisi ile tez tamamlanmıştır.
Hekimbaşızâde Doktor Muhyiddin was a medical doctor who lived between 1871-1936 and grew up in the so-called Late Ottoman period. In addition to being the author and translator of many useful works on diseases, he was also a statesman who served at different state levels in the fields of public works and urbanism. In this thesis, the author's work titled Vâlideyne İhtâr Yâhud Kuşpalazı was studied. The work, which contains information on croup (diphtheria), one of the epidemic diseases of the period in which it was written, provides information on diagnosis and treatment. This thesis consists of five parts. The introduction introduces the author and the work. In the review section, the medical terms in the work are classified. The text part consists of translation. Although the language used in the work is close to today's Turkish, the medical terms and quoted words in the work aggravate the narration. There is an alphabetical index in the index section. The meaning of the words and the language in which they are quoted are shown. Bibliography is given and the thesis is completed with a photocopy of the original text.
