TOKSİK LİDERLİĞİN ÖRGÜTSEL SİNİZM ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ:OTOMOTİV SEKTÖRÜNDE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı çalışanların toksik liderlik algılarının sinik davranışları üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. İstanbul’da bir otomotiv firmasında çalışan 160 kişiye anket uygulanmış ve elde edilen veriler SPSS.20.0 (Statistical Package for Social Science) paket program ile analiz edilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda, toksik liderliğin örgütsel sinizm üzerinde açıklayıcı etkisinin olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. İncelemelerde, katılımcıların toksik liderlik algısının yüksek olmadığı ancak yine de örgütsel sinizmin ortaya çıkabileceği anlaşılmıştır. Bu sonuç, liderlik davranışının hassasiyetini ve önemini göstermektedir. Faktör analizi sonucunda elde edilen boyutlar açısından ise, toksik liderliğin değer bilmezlik ve olumsuz ruhsal durumun boyutlarının sinizm üzerinde anlamlı etkiler ortaya çıkardığı görülmüştür.

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of employees’ perceptions of toxic leadership on their cynical behavior. A questionnaire was applied to 160 people working in an automotive company in Istanbul and the data obtained were analyzed with the SPSS.20.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) package program. As a result of the analysis; it has been revealed that toxic leadership has an explanatory effect on organizational cynicism in the examinations, it was understood that the participants’ perceptions of toxic leadership was not high, but organizational cynicism could still arise. This result shows the sensitivity and importance of leadership behavior. In terms of the dimensions obtained as a result of the factor analysis, it has been observed that the dimensions of toxic leadership’s worthlessness and negative mental state have significant effects on cynicism.
