Abstract

Risale-i Teberdariye esas itibariyle kara hadım ağaların tarihi dönemler içerisinde farklı devletlerde yapmış oldukları kötülükleri kronolojik olarak anlatan, ki eser Nuh Peygamber döneminden başlayarak Osmanlı’nın 1740-1741 yılına kadar gelir, İslam Tarihi eseridir. Eserin müellifi Derviş Abdullah’tır. Müellif eseri kaleme alırken çeşitli kaynaklara başvurmuştur. Bunların içinde tarihi kitaplar, teberdarlar ocağındaki yaşlı ocakdaşları ve kendi gözlemleri vardır.Eser bablardan oluşmuştur. Babların başlıkları Arapça’dır. Müellif son babda Osmanlı Devleti’nde karalar hadım ağaların yapmış oldukları kötülükleri nakl eder.Eserin kara hadım ağalarıyla ilgili düşünceleri nedeniyle ve I. Mahmud dönemi olaylarını bizzat gözlemlemesi açısından göz ardı edilmemesi gerekir.

“Risalei Teberdariye” is a work of İslam History that mainly presents misdoings of negro eunuchs in the body of different states throughout different periods of the history. The book starts with the era of “ The Prophed Nuh” and ends with The Ottoman Empire of the years 1740-1741.The Author of the book is Dervish Abdullah. While writing down his work, the author had recourse to a variety of sources that include history books, his contemporary associates at the association of “teberdar”s, and his own real-life observations. The book consists of chapters called “bab”. The title of each chapter is in Arabic. In the last chapter, the author conveys the interesting events he heard about by telling the reader what black/ negro/ colored eunuchs had been doing under the Ottoman Empire by that time. “Risalei Teberdariye” should not be overlooked from two main perspectives: a) what it advocates is totally different from those of other harem works; and b) it subsumes direct observation of the events that happened during the term of Mahmud I.
