The Media of Karakalpakstan: Yesterday and Today This thesis describes the emergence of Karakalpaks, their tribes and folk heroes as well as the geography and history of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan. The study focuses on the past and present landscape of local media which used different languages in different eras.
