Publication: Okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin kişilik özelliklerinin iş tatminleri üzerindeki etkisi
Abstract
Bu araştırma okul öncesi eğitimi öğretmenlerinin kişilik özellikleri ile demografik özelliklerini değerlendirmek ve bu özelliklere bağlı olarak iş tatmin düzeylerini belirlemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini İstanbul ili Kadıköy ilçesi sınırları içerisinde Random (Tesadüfî) yöntemiyle seçilen Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı bulunan resmî ve özel okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında ve Sosyal Hizmetler ve Çocuk Esirgeme Kurumuna bağlı bulunan özel gündüz bakımevlerinde görev yapmakta bulunan toplam 109 okul öncesi öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada demografik bilgilerle ilgili soruları içeren kişisel bilgi formu, öğretmenlerin kişilik özelliklerini belirlemek üzere (ACL) Sıfat Tarama Listesi formu ve öğretmenlerin iş tatmin düzeylerini belirlemek üzere (JDI) İş Tanım Endeksi formu kullanılarak verilere ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin kişisel bilgilerini değerlendirmek için frekans ve yüzde hesaplanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin kişilik özellikleri ile iş tatminleri arasındaki ilişki için Pearson Çarpım Moment Korelasyon analizi, iş tatminlerinin demografik özelliklere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek için bağımsız grup t testi, non-parametrik Mann Whitney-U testi ve non-parametrik Kruskal Wallis-H testi, Kruskal Wallis-H testi sonucu anlamlı bulunan farklılıkların hangi gruplardan kaynaklandığını belirlemek için de non-parametrik Mann Whitney-U testi kullanılmıştır. İş tatmin ölçeği alt boyutlarına göre hangi kişilik özelliklerinin toplam varyansa ne oranda katkısı olduğunu belirlemek üzere Hiyerarşik Regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; iş tatmini ile başarma, başatlık, sebat, düzen, şefkat, bağımsızlık, saldırganlık, otokontrol, özgüven, ideal benlik, erkeksi özellikler, yaratıcılık ve liderlik özellikleri arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. İş tatmininin demografik özelliklerden çalışılan kurum, medeni hal, çocuk sahibi olma, kiminle kalındığı, gelir düzeyi ve eşinin çalıştığı kuruma göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği görülmüştür.
This study was done for purposes of evaluating preschool education, personality features and demographic features and determining job satisfaction level related to these features. Summarizing of this study comprises totally 109 preschool teachers selected by Rondom method, who work in official and private preschool bounded to the Ministry of Education and private nursery school bounded to Kids Protection Institution located within boundary of İstanbul city, Kadıköy town. Data was obtained by using Personal Date Sheet including question related to demographic information of this study, Adjective Check List form (ACL), that will determine personality features of teacher, and Job Descriptive Index (JDI) that will determine job satisfaction level of teachers. Frequency and percentage were calculated to evaluate personal information of teachers, Pearson Multiplication Moment Correlation analysis was used for relationship between personality features and job satisfactions of teachers. Independent group t test was used for determining whether job satisfactions differ according to demographic features and non-parametric Mann Whitney-U test was used for determining from which groups the differences found meaningful as a result of non-parametric Mann Whitney-U test, non-parametric Kruskal Wallis-H test. In order to determine at which rate and which personality features contribute in total variant according to job satisfaction level, a Hierarchic Regression analysis was done. According to obtained results, there is a meaningful and positive relation between job satisfaction and achievement, success, perseverance, tenderness, order, independency, aggressiveness, self-control, self-confidence, ideal conccit, muscular characteristics, creativeness and leadership features. It was seen that demographic features of job satisfaction showed differences according to the institution where they work, maritial status, having a child, income and institution where spouse works.
