Abstract
1.ÖZET Günümüzde kitleleri etkileyen bir olgu olan futbol genç futbolseverleri de etkilemektedir. Futbolu bu kadar cazip kılan etmenlerin başında ise futbolun içinde yer alan ekonomik yönüdür. Otomotivden bile daha büyük bir sektör halini almış olan futbol sadece ülkemizde değil tüm dünyada insanları peşinden sürüklemektedir. İlköğretim düzeyindeki çocukların futbola olan sevgilerinin içinde ne kadar oranda ekonomik yanın yattığı tüm dünyada cevabı aranan sorulardan birisidir. Yapılan bu araştırmanın amacı: futboldaki yüksek gelirlerin 12 – 15 yaş grubundaki çocukları ne şekilde etkilediğini tüm yönleriyle araştırmayı ve ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada yöntem olarak anket kullanılmıştır. Anket, İstanbul ilindeki çeşitli spor kulüplerinin altyapıları ve futbol okullarında futbol oynayan 290 çocuğa uygulanmıştır. Uygulamalar sonucunda elde edilen veriler SPSS paket kullanılarak değerlendirilmiş, verilerin analizinde ise ki kare – yüzde ve frekans teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan bu çalışmada ağırlıklı olarak ailelerin çocuklarını futbola yönlendirdikleri sonucuna varılmıştır. Düşük gelir seviyesine sahip ailelerin çocuklarını futbolun yüksek gelir getirme potansiyelinden dolayı teşvik ettikleri saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak araştırmada, futbolun spor yönünün ikinci plana atıldığı öncelikle yüksek gelir getiren bir meslek kolu olduğu görüşünün hakim kılındığı belirlenmiştir.
