Abstract
Bu tezde, telefon teknolojisi ile beraber, Osmanlı Devletinde telefon sistemi kurmak ve telefon hizmeti vermek için yapılan imtiyaz başvuruları ile telefon hizmetinin yürütülmesi noktasındaki karar süreçleri ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca, Osmanlı Devleti’nde, telefon hizmetinin kamuda tesisi; ticari olarak, Dersaadet‟te(İstanbul) özel şirket tarafından imtiyaz ile telefon sistemi tesisi ve hizmetinin yürütülmesi, imtiyazlı şirketin Maliye, Posta/ Telefon Nezareti, Şehremaneti ve Şura-yı Devlet ile olan ilişkisi; mali sıkıntısı ve Dersaadet Telefon Şirketi’nin devlet tarafından satın alınması incelenmiştir. telefon, imtiyaz, Dersaadet Telefon Şirketi
The subjects that were thoroughly discussed in this thesis include concession applications and related decision making processes to establish and provide telephone services in the Ottoman Empire as well as the telephone technology implications. Furthermore addressed topics are establishment of such telephone services by privileged private companies in the Ottoman Empire; financial issues emerged during the service, commercial relationships of these companies with “Maliye, Posta/ Telefon Nezareti, ġehremaneti and ġura-yı Devlet” and ultimately the acquisition of Dersaadet Telephone Company by the government.
