Türk romanında üniversite (1980-2000)

Abstract

Türk Romanında Üniversite (1980-2000) başlıklı bu çalışmada, 1980’den 2000’e ilk baskısını yapan ve üniversite bağlamında incelemeye yönelik veriler sunan romanlar bu kavram çerçevesinde incelenmiş ve üniversite merkeze konularak romanlar üzerinden bir politik tarih, sosyal tarih ve sosyal içerik okumasının yapılıp yapılamayacağı açığa çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın giriş bölümünde üniversite kavramı, Türkiye’de üniversite kurumunun tarihçesi ve roman türünün sosyal olaylar ve olgularla ilişkisi üzerinde durulmuştur. Romanların sundukları veriler doğrultusunda başlıklandırmaya gidilmiş ve “Cumhuriyet Dönemi’nin Kilometre Taşlarında Üniversite” ve “Siyasi ve Sosyal Boyutlarıyla Üniversite” olmak üzere bölümler oluşturulmuştur. Her iki bölümde de roman incelemesine geçmeden önce ilgili başlık üzerinde durularak bir bakış açısının oluşturulması sağlanmıştır. Üniversiteyi romanlar üzerinden eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla incelemek konunun romanlardaki yansımasını ortaya çıkararak Türk edebiyatının sosyal yönünü gösterirken aynı zamanda üniversitenin tarihsel durumunun ve sorunlarının anlaşılmasını sağlayacaktır.

In this study titled University in the Turkish Novel (1980-2000), the novels that were first published between the years 1980 and 2000 and that provide data for analysis in the context of the university are examined within the framework of this concept, and it is aimed to reveal whether a reading of political history, social history and social content is possible through novels by putting the university at the center. In the introductory part of the study, the concept of university, the history of the university in Turkey and the relationship between the novel genre and social events and phenomena were examined. Titles were made in line with the data presented by the novels, and sections were formed as “University at the Milestones of the Republican Era” and “University with its Political and Social Dimensions”. In both sections, a perspective was created by focusing on the relevant title before analyzing the novels. Examining the university from a critical point of view through novels will reveal the reflection of the subject in novels and show the social aspect of Turkish literature, while at the same time providing an understanding of the historical situation and problems of the university.
