Abstract
Sympoliteia, önceden bağımsız ve belki bazı amaçlar için kurumları ayrılmış topluluklarda, karakterleri ayrı iki ya da daha fazla komşu kentin, politik birleşimini kapsar. Sympoliteia’da polis’lerin parçası olan vatandaşlar hem kendi kentlerinin vatandaşı hem de bir çeşit “birlik vatandaşı” idiler. Sympoliteia’nın en eski örnekleri M.Ö. V. yy.da Boiotia’daydı. Sympoliteia’lar sadece anakara Hellenleri’nde Klasik ve Hellenistik dönemlerde varolmamış bir de Hellenistik ve Roma İmparatorluk çağlarında Küçük Asya’da bazı kentler arasında görülmüşlerdir. Küçük Asya’daki sympoliteia’lar içinde Likya kentlerindeki sympoliteia’ların, Hellenistik Çağ’da başladığı ve Roma İmparatorluk Çağı’nın ilk üç yüzyılında devam ettiği görülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın konusunu, Hellenistik ve Roma İmparatorluk çağlarında Likya’da varolan sympoliteia’lar oluşturur. Çalışma üç bölümde sunulmaktadır. kya Birliği’nin üyesi kentleri kapsar. İkinci bölümde Likya’daki Hellence yazıtlar görülen sympoliteia’lar anlatılmıştır. Bu bölümün konusu, Akalissos – Idebessos – Korma, Aperlai – Simena – Apollonia – Isinda, Arneai – Koroa – Çağman (?) – Kiltepe (?), Korydalla – Madamyssos, Korydalla – Pygela, Myra – Trebendai, Myra – Tyberissos/ Teimiussa, Phaselis – Mnara, Phaselis – Tenedos, Termessos – Typallia, Trebenna – Onobara kentleri arasında varolan sympoliteia’lardır. Üçüncü bölüm,Arykanda – Tragallassos ve Oktapolis’te bir sympoliteia olasılığı hakkındadır.
Sympoliteia have involved the political merging of two or more neighbouring but previously independent communities which characteristically have retained their separate sites, and perhaps for some purposes their separated institutions. In sympoliteia, the citizens of participating poleis both were a citizen of their own city, and they had some sort of league-citizenship. The oldest known examples of sympoliteia were from Boiotia in five century B.C. Not only existed the sympoliteiai of the Classical period and the Hellenistic sympoliteiai of mainland Greece, but they also some cities among in Asia Minor in Hellenistic and Roman Imperial periods. Sympoliteiai of Lycian cities in sympoliteiai of Asia Minor, seem to have begun in the Hellenistic period and to have continued well into the first three centuries of the Empire. The subject of this dissertation is sympoliteia which existed in Lycia in Hellenistic and Roman Imperial periods. The study is presented in three chapters. The chapter one, contains cities the membership of Lycian League. The second chapter is explained sympoliteiai which occur in Greek inscriptions in Lycia. This subject of this chapter is sympoliteiai which existed in Acalissos – Idebessos – Corma, Aperlai – Simena – Apollonia – Isinda, Arneai – Coroa – Çağman (?) – Kiltepe (?), Corydalla – Madamyssos, Corydalla – Pygela, Myra – Trebendai, Myra – Tyberissos/ Teimiussa, Phaselis – Mnara, Phaselis – Tenedos, Termessos – Typallia, Trebenna – Onobara cities among sympoliteiai. The third chapter is about a possibility sympoliteia in Arykanda – Tragallassos and Octapolis.
