Publication: Yeşilçam melodram anlatısının günümüz Türk Sinemasına etkisi
Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı Yeşilçam melodram anlatısını toplumsal, siyasal ve kültürel bağlamda inceleyerek Yeşilçam melodram kodlarının 2000 sonrası Türk sinemasında ne şekilde varlığını sürdürdüğünü incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmanın ilk bölümünde görsel ve işitsel bir anlatı çeşidi olan sinemayı ve bir anlatı türü olan melodramı daha iyi anlayabilmek ve temellendirebilmek adına anlatı, anlatıların kültürel yapıyla ilişkisi, yerli anlatı gelenekleri, bir anlatı olarak sinema ve Türk sinemasının anlatı yapısı incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise melodram kavramı ele alınarak, melodramın tarihi ve yapısı araştırılmış ve Türk sinemasında melodramın ortaya çıkışından başlayarak Yeşilçam melodramlarının yapısı sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik süreçlerle paralel olarak incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde 1990 ve 2000 sonrası Türk sinemasının durumu ayrı ayrı incelenerek 2000 sonrası Türk sinemasında melodramın geldiği nokta araştırılmıştır. Elde edilen bilgiler ışığında da Benim Dünyam ve Güzel Günler Göreceğiz filmleri melodram kodları bağlamında incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda melodram türünün günümüz yerli filmlerinde yok olmadığı ancak değişime uğradığı tespit edilmiştir. Yeşilçam’daki gibi saf bir tür olmayan melodram 1990 sonrasında Türk sinemasında yaşanan değişimle birlikte iki farklı yoldan ilerleyişini devam ettirmiştir. İlk olarak popüler ve ticari yerli filmlerde Yeşilçam melodramlarına benzer imgelerin devam ettiği gözlenmiştir. İkinci olarak ise modern anlatımın yer aldığı bağımsız yönetmenlerin filmlerinde melodram da bu modern anlatıya eklemlenerek kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu modern melodram kodlarının anlatıyı tamamlayan ve destekleyen unsurlar olarak filmlerde yer aldıkları gözlemlenmiştir. Türk sinemasının farklı dönemlerindeki melodram anlatısını incelemeye ve bunu günümüz Türk sinemasıyla karşılaştırmaya imkân vermesi açısından çalışmanın önemli bir fırsat sunduğu düşünülmektedir. The purpose of this study is to analyze the codes of Yeşilçam (Turkish Cinema) melodrama in Turkish cinema after 2000 in what way continues its existence by analyzing in social, political and cultural context of Yeşilçam melodramatic narrative. In line with this purpose, in the first part of the study the narrative has been analyzed narrative, the relationship of the narratives with cultural structure, native narrative customs, narrative structure of cinema and Turkish cinema as a narrative in order to gain a better understanding and justification of melodrama which is a kind of narrative and the cinema which is a kind of visual and auditory narrative. As for in the second part by addressing the melodrama concept, the history and the structure of the melodrama has been studied and by starting with the occurrence of the melodrama in Turkish cinema, the structure of Yeşilçam melodramas has been studied in parallel with social, cultural and economic processes. In the third part, it has been studied the point of melodrama in Turkish cinema after 2000 by analyzing separately the situation of Turkish cinema after 1990 and 2000. In the light of the information obtained Benim Dünyam and Güzel Günler Göreceğiz movies have been analyzed within the context of melodramatic codes. In consequence of the study, it has been determined that the melodramatic type does not disappear in today’s Turkish films but it has gone through the changes. The melodrama which is not a pure type as in Yeşilçam, with the change occurred in Turkish cinema after 1990 has continued its progression in two different ways. In the first instance it has been observed that the images similar to Yeşilçam melodramas continued in popular and commercial Turkish films. As in the second place in the independent director’s films where the modern narrative is, the melodrama has been used by articulating to this modern narrative. It has been observed that these modern melodramatic codes take in place at films as complementary and supporting elements to the narrative. It has been thought that this study gives a significant opportunity with regard to make it possible to compare with this to today’s Turkish cinema and to analyze the melodramatic narrative in different periods of Turkish cinema.
