Abstract
In the COVID-19 pandemic, which affects the whole world, planned endoscopic interventions, except for emergencies, but nowadays they have become obsolete and elective endoscopic interventions have begun to be performed. It is necessary to take precautions for infection control in terms of patient and employee safety during pandemic periods. The endoscopy nurse, who is an important member of the team, is responsible for taking and applying all necessary precautions from the patient's admission to the endoscopy unit until discharge. Today, when the pandemic has lost its effectiveness, there are differences in the practices of how the process will be carried out in endoscopy units. The aim of this review is to examine the precautions to be taken before, during and after the endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 patients in the light of the literature.
