Hipodontili bir olguda protetik tedavi yaklaşımı

Abstract

Hipodonti, bir veya daha,çok dişin konjenital eksikliği sonucu popülasyonda % 3,5-6,5 oranında ve kadın er¬kek oranı 2:3 olmak üzere görülen gelişimsel bir ano¬malidir. Kliniğimize başvuran 21 yaşmda serbest mes¬lek sahibi hastamızda gelişim anomalisidir. 16,14, 12, 22, 24, 31, 34, 36, 41,42, 44,46 olmak üzere toplam 13 diş konjenital olarak mevcut değildi. Ayrıca, hastamız¬da 54,71,72,81,85 olmak üzere toplam 5 adet süt dişi mevcuttu. Amacımız, sabit protetik tedavi ile hastamı¬zın kliniğimize müracaat etme nedeni olan dikey boyut düşüklüğüne bağlı olarak oluşan estetik problemlerini çözümlemek ve hastanın yetersiz çiğneme fonksiyonu¬nu rehabilite etmekti. Protetik tedavi iki bölümde oluş¬turuldu. Birinci bölümde, Hastanın dikey boyutunu belirlemek ve sabitlemek için oklüzal splint uygulandı. İkinci bölümde ise oluşturulan yeni dikey boyutta has¬tamıza estetik ve fonksiyonu kazandırmak için sabit protetik tedavi uygulandı.

Hypodontia is a condition in which teeth are developnien-tally absent. It has a prevalence of 3,5-6,5% of the populati¬on with a female to male ratio of 3:2. A 21 years old male who referred to our clinics had 16, 14, 12, 22, 24, 31, 32, 34, 36, 41, 42, 44,46 missing congenitally and had 5 deci¬duous teeth which are 54,71,81,85. Our aim was the reha¬bilitation dental of his pour apperance and malfunction with the fixed partial denture. Prosthetic treatment was ac¬hieved in two parts. In the first part, occlusal splint was applied in order to determine and to stabilize the vertical di¬mension of the patient. In the second part fixed partial den¬ture was applied to rehabilitate the aesthetic and the mal-function at the new vertical dimension.
