Publication: Said Halim Paşa düşüncesinde toplumsal değişme ile ilgili kavramlar
Abstract
ÖZETSAİD HALİM PAŞA DÜŞÜNCESİNDE TOPLUMSAL DEĞİŞME İLE İLGİLİ KAVRAMLARSaid Halim Paşa, İslam dünyasında yaşanan sorunlara hem bir entelektüel derinliği ve ayrıntıcılığı ile hem de devlet adamı pratikliği ve gerçekçiliği ile bakmayı başarabilmiş bir düşünürdür. O, Osmanlı modernleşmesine dair tahlillerinde ince ayrımlarla kavramlar üzerinden Doğu-Batı karşılaştırması yapmaktadır. Paşa, kavramların içeriklerinin farklı toplumlarda farklı olduğuna dikkat çekmekte, Osmanlı toplumunda iki medeniyet arasında kalmış bir bakış açısının kavramların içeriğine de yansıdığını göstermektedir. Bu dönemde tartışılan güncel kavramların çoğu Batı kaynaklıdır. Ancak bu kavramlar Osmanlı toplumunda Batı’da geldiği anlama gelmemektedir. Diğer yandan aynı kavramlar İslam toplumlarında kullanılagelen kavramlar olmamasına karşın içerikleri üzerinden bir şekilde İslam dininde aranıp buluverilmekte ve böylece Doğulu anlamlar Batılı kelimelerle ifade edilmektedir. Bu şekilde Tanzimat sonrası dönemin kavramlarının, Batılı milletlerdekine de, İslam toplumlarındakine de benzemeyen anlamlar kazandığını söylemek mümkündür. Bu çalışmada Paşa’nın düşüncesinin “olanı tespit ve olması gerekeni teklif” şeklinde iki yönlü bir görünüm arz ettiği fikrinden hareketle, değerlendirilen kavramlar, bu ikili bir ayrıma tabi tutulmuştur. Toplumun gündeminde hangi kavramlar varsa ve bu kavramların hangi anlamı güncelse sosyal değişmenin o yöne doğru seyrettiği anlaşılmıştır.
THE CONCEPTS ARE RELATED TO THE SOCIAL CHANGE IN THE SAİD HALİM PASHA’S THOUGHTABSTRACTSaid Halim Pasha is a thinker that could be able to achieve to tackle the problems in Muslim world with his intellectual perspective and statesman practicalness and factualness. He compares the East and the West on the concepts and he holds on the idea in his analysies about the Ottoman modernisation to these concepts have different meanings in different societies.Pasha, points out to the fact that the contents of the concepts are different in different societies and he shows that a point of view that is torn between two civilizations in the Ottoman society reflects also to the contents of the concepts. Most of the current concepts discussed by the society are the Western sourced. However, in the Ottoman society these concepts do not have the same meaning as in the West. On the other hand, these concepts although did not arised in the Muslim world they are founded in the idea of religion of Islam with their contents; thus “the eastern meanings” are stated through “the western words”. In this way, it is possible to say that the concepts of the post-Tanzimat Era neither gained meaning similar to in the Western societies nor in the Muslim societies.In this study, the concepts that were analysed were subjected to dual difference with reference to opinion that Pasha’s idea has dual appearance as “the determination of the real” and “the offering of the ideal”. And it was understanded that any concept comes to the agenda of the society and which meaning of these concepts are current, the social change navigates in that direction.
