Covid‐19 Pandemisinde Borsa İstanbul'a Kote Gıda Sektörü İşletmelerinin Finansal Performanslarının Gri İlişkisel Analiz Yöntemi ile Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

2019 yılında başlayan ve ardından dünya çapında bir salgın olan COVID‐19, küresel anlamda hem ekonomik hem de sosyal açıdan negatif sonuçlar oluşturmuştur. Yaşanan bu gelişmelerden hemen hemen her sektör etkilenmiş olup, Gıda, İçecek ve Tütün Sektörü de bu sektörler arasında yer almaktadır. Çalışma ile ulaşılmaya çalışılan, yaşanan gelişmelerin beraberinde Borsa İstanbul (BİST)’a bağlı Gıda, İçecek ve Tütün Sektöründe yer alan şirketlerin, COVID‐19 pandemi dönemini kapsayan 2019‐2021 yıllarında nasıl etkilendiklerinin ortaya konulmasıdır. Çalışmada kullanılan yedi adet finansal oran, Kamu Aydınlatma Platformu (KAP)’ndan elde edilen finansal raporlar üzerinden oluşturulmuş; elde edilen oranlar çalışmada uygulanan yöntem olan Gri İlişkisel Analiz kapsamında kullanılmıştır. Uygulama sonucunda ilgili sektördeki şirketlerin yıllar içerisindeki sıralamaları ortaya konulmuş ve değerlendirmeleri yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya göre; bazı şirketlerin bu dönemi avantaja çevirdiği, bazılarının ise değişime karşı yanıt veremediği sonucuna varılmıştır. Pandeminin etkilemediği düşünülen şirketlerin ise güçlü bir finansal yapıya sahip olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.

COVID‐19, which started in 2019 and then became a worldwide pandemic, has become a pandemic and with this pandemic process, negative consequences have emerged worldwide, both socially and economically. Like almost every other sector, the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Industry sector has also been adversely affected by these developments. Attempted to be reached by this study is to reveal how the companies in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Sectors, which are affiliated to Borsa İstanbul (BIST), were affected in the years 2019‐2021, covering the Covid‐19 periods. Within the extent of the study, seven ratios were used. Relevant ratios have been established with the help of financial reports obtained from the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). These ratios were utilised within the extent of the Gray Relational Analysis Method. As a consequence of the application of the method, the rankings of the companies over the years were revealed, and their evaluations were carried out. In pursuant to the results of the research; while some companies used this period as an advantage, some companies could not appraise the situation in their favour. It is seen that companies that are not thought to be affected by the pandemic have a strong financial structure.
