Abstract
OKUL ÖNCESİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN UYGULAMALARINDA BENİMSEDİKLERİ EĞİTİMSEL YAKLAŞIMLARI BELİRLEME Eğitim ve felsefe üzerine çalışan uzmanların bir kısmı eğitim felsefesi ve eğitim pratiği arasında bulunan bağın önemini vurgulamıştır. Öğretmenlerin uygulamalarında benimsedikleri yöntemlerin önemli bir bölümünün ise benimsedikleri eğitim felsefesi ile yakından ilgili olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Bu araştırma okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin uygulamada benimsedikleri yaklaşımların belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında okul öncesi eğitim yakalşımlarından John Dewey(Laboratuar Okulu), Maria Montessori (Montessori Metodu), Waldorf , Reggio Emilia eğitim yaklaşımları ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2007-2008 öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Kadıköy, Beşiktaş, Maltepe, Ümraniye, Zeytinburnu ilçelerinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı özel ve resmi okullarda çalışan 538 anaokulu öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada John Dewey(Laboratuar Okulu), Maria Montessori (Montessori Metodu), Waldorf , Reggio Emilia eğitim yaklaşımlarının eğitim felsefesi ve eğitim programlarını içeren ölçme aracı oluşturulmuş ve bu ölçme aracından elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan Okul Öncesi Eğitim Yaklaşımları ölçme aracının ön çalışması için 130 maddelik form oluşturulmuş yapılan faktör analizi sonucunda 8 faktör altında toplanan 108 madde elde edilmiştir. Faktör analizi sonucu elde edilen maddeler üzerinde öğretmenlerin verdiği yanıtlar doğrultusunda t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi yapılmıştır. Farklılığın hangi gruplar arasında olduğunun saptanması için LSD testinden yararlanılmıştır. Tüm bu istatistiksel işlemlerde, istatistiksel sınamada anlamlılık düzeyi en az .05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi sonucunda, okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin John Dewey, Reggio Emilia, Maria Montessori ve Waldorf yaklaşımlarına ait sorulara verdikleri cevaplar eğitim felsefesi ve eğitim nde bulundurulduğunda değişkenlere göre farklılık göstermektedir. DETERMINATION OF EDUCATIONAL APPROACHES ADOPTED BY THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHERS IN THEIR APPLICATIONS Some of the educationists who work on education and philosophy impressed on the connection between education philosophy and education practice.The important part of the methods adopted by the teachers is asserted to be closely related to education philosophy.This research has been made to determine the approaches early childhood education teachers adopted in their applications. From the early childhood education approaches in the research, John Dewey (Laboratory School), Maria Montessori (Montessori Method), Waldorf, Reggio Emilia dealt wıth education approaches. In education year - 2007-2008, 538 Early Childhood teachers working for private and public schools in Kadikoy, Besiktas, Maltepe, Ümraniye, Zeytinburnu in İstanbul organized the sampling of the research. In the research, John Dewey ( Laboratory school), Maria Montessori (Montessorı Method), Waldorf, Reggio Emilia organized an evaluation tool including education philosophy and education programmes of the education approaches and they had sensible results by the information acquired via the evaluation tool. For the spadework of the Early Chıldhood Education Approaches evaluation tool used in the research, 130-article form has been organized and ın consequence of the factor analysis, 108 article have been gathered in 8 factors. According to the teachers’ answers on the articles organized in consequence of the factor analysis,test and one-way variance analysis have been organized. To determine in which groups the difference exist, LSD test has been used.In all these statistical applications, level of signifiance in the statistical test is accepted to be at least 0,5. In the consequence of the evaluation of the data, the Early Childhood teachers’ answers about the approaches of John Dewey,Reggio Emilia,Maria Montessori and Waldorf vary while taking into account education phılosophy and education programme.
