Değişik Osmanlı bezeme tekniklerinin cama uyarlanması

Abstract

Bu çalışma kapsamında ilk olarak camın kısaca tarihçesine ve yapısına göz attıktan sonra, yine çok kısa olarak tasarım açısından camın önemine değinilmiştir. Cam şekillendirme yöntemlerinin geçirdiği evreler M.Ö. 14. yüzyılda kil tablet üzerine yazılmış olan reçeteden günümüze kadar tarihsel gelişim içinde incelenmiştir. İlk yöntemler ve üfleme yönteminin ardından, bu çalışmanın uygulama kısmında örneklerin üretiminde kullanılan füzyon yöntemi açıklanmıştır. Ardından camın yüzeyini aşındırarak veya camın yüzeyini boyayarak, cama desen uygulama yöntemleri açıklanmış, bu bölümde cam yüzeylerde kullanılan boya çeşitlerine kısa başlıklar halinde değinilmiştir. İlk üç bölümde yapılan camla ilgili bu açıklamalardan sonra dördüncü bölümde Osmanlıda cam sanatı tarihsel gelişim içinde; sırası ile Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun kuruluş döneminde cam, İstanbul’un alınmasının sonuçları, Sanayi Devriminin Osmanlı camcılığına etkileri, Beykoz camcılığı ve Osmanlı’da ithal camlar başlıkları altında incelenmiştir. Cam ile ilgili bilgilerin aktarılmasının ardından beşinci bölümde Osmanlı Bezemeleri genel bir çerçevede açıklanmıştır. Hat sanatı, el yazmaları ve tuğralar, tezhip ve çini sanatları ile Osmanlı kumaş desenleri ve saray giysilerindeki bezemelere değinilip örnekler verilmiştir. Son bölümde bu tezin uygulama kısmını oluşturan çalışmalarla ilgili bilgiler yer almaktadır. Cama aktarılmak üzere seçilen desenler ve kullanılan yönteme değinilmiştir. Yapılan örneğin üretim süreci açıklandıktan sonra bu süreçte karşılaşılan zorluklar ve bu zorlukların üstesinden gelebilme yöntemleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Farklı Osmanlı bezemelerinin başka MMARY In this study, firstly the history of glass and its structure, then its importance in terms of design have been briefly discussed. From recipes written on clay tablets since the 14 th. century BC to present, glass forming methods have been studied in a historical perspective. After the initial historical methods and the blowing method, the fusion method used in the production of samples at the application section of this study has been explained. Later , the methods of applying patterns on glass by engraving, acid etching and painting the surface have been explained. In this section the different types of paint used on glass surfaces have been mentioned briefly under separate titles. After the explanations made in the first three sections, the fourth section discusses the historical progress of the glass art during the Ottoman Empire under these five subject titles respectively: glass during the establishment era of the Ottoman Empire, the consequences of conquering Istanbul, the effects of the Industrail Revolution on Ottoman glasswork, Beykoz glasswork and imported glass in the Ottoman Empire. Following the information about glass, the fifth section explains Ottoman Decorations in a general framework. The art of calligraphy, manuscripts and tughras, gildings and ceramik art, Ottoman fabric patterns and ornamentations on royal costumes have been mentioned with specific examples. The final section contains information about the works in the application section of this thesis. The patterns chosen to be applied on glass and their application methods have also been explained. After explaining the production process of the sample, the difficulties faced during application and the methods to overcome them are reviewed. The possibility of transferring different Ottoman designs on glass by using other glass molding methods have been discussed.
