Publication: Spor lisesi mezunlarının işgücü piyasasındaki deneyimleri ve çalışan sağlığı
Abstract
Amaç: Bu çalışma, spor lisesi mezunlarının işgücü piyasasındaki deneyimleri ve çalışan sağlığı deneyimlerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Türkiye’nin yedi farklı şehrinde spor lisesinden mezun olmuş 45 katılımcı ile Zoom zerinden online olarak yarı yapılandırılmış̧ görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış ve belirlenen temaları ortaya çıkaran deşifre edilmiş görüşmeler üzerinde içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Elde edilen bulgular neticesinde ortaya çıkan temalar; spor tutkusu ve kariyer hedefleri, spor lisesi eğitim süreci ve üniversiteye geçiş sorunsalı, spor lisesi mezunlarının iş imkanı algısı, spor lisesi mezunlarının işsizlik deneyimleri, iş bulma sürecinde torpil ve nepotizm, spor sektöründe istihdamda olup olmamanın sağlığa etkisi, çalışma koşulları ve çalışan sağlığı, halk sağlığı ve çalışan sağlığı farkındalığı, iş imkânlarına erişmede bölgesel farklılıklar, mesleki algı şeklinde sıralanmaktadır. Sonuç: Katılımcıların çoğu spor lisesi mezunları için spor sektöründe iş imkanının çok kısıtlı olduğunun altını çizmiştir. Ayrıca katılımcıların neredeyse tamamı spor sektöründe iş bulma noktasında temel problemin nepotizm ve torpil olduğuna dikkat çekmiştir. Katılımcılar spor lisesi mezunu olmalarından dolayı, farklı iş kollarında da iş imkanlarının kendileri açısından kısıtlı olması ve bu iş yerlerinde maruz kaldıkları olumsuz çalışma şartlarına dikkat çekmişlerdir. Bunlara ek olarak spor lisesinden mezun olmuş katılımcıların çalışan sağlığı kavramı ile ilgili yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıkları göze çarpmaktadır. Bu çalışma Türkiye’ deki spor liselerinden mezun olan bireylerin spor sektöründe iş imkanlarına erişebilmeleri için spor lisesi ders müfredatlarında, spor kulüplerinde, belediyelerde, spor federasyonlarında ve spor politikalarında yapısal değişikliklere dikkat çekmektedir.
Objective: This study aims to examine the labor market experiences and employee health experiences of sports high school graduates. Materials and Methods: Semi-structured interviews were held online via the Zoom program with 45 participants who graduated from sports high schools in seven different cities of Turkey. Qualitative research method was used and content analysis was conducted on the transcribed interviews, which revealed the identified themes. Results: Themes that emerged as a result of the findings are; passion for sports and career goals, sports high school education process and the problem of transition to university, perception of job opportunities of sports high school graduates, unemployment experiences of sports high school graduates, nepotism and nepotism in the process of finding a job, the impact of being employed or not in the sports sector on health, working conditions and employee health, public health and employee health awareness, regional differences in access to job opportunities, and professional perception. Conclusion: Most of the participants underlined that job opportunities in the sports sector are very limited for sports high school graduates. In addition, almost all of the participants pointed out that the main problem in finding a job in the sports sector is nepotism and nepotism. Participants pointed out that since they were graduates of sports high schools, they had limited job opportunities in different business lines and the negative working conditions they were exposed to in these workplaces. In addition, it stands out that the participants who graduated from sports high school do not have sufficient knowledge about the concept of employee health. This study draws attention to structural changes in sports high school course curricula, sports clubs, municipalities, sports federations and sports policies so that individuals who graduate from sports high schools in Türkiye can access job opportunities in the sports sector.
