Kuleli askerî lisesinin Türk eğitim tarihindeki yeri ve uygulanan eğitim programları (ilk yüzyıl 1845-1945)

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı Türk eğitiminin en köklü okulları arasında yer alan Kuleli Askerî Lisesinin, gerek Osmanlı, gerekse Cumhuriyet dönemlerinde çağına göre modern eğitimiyle öğrenci yetiştirmek amacıyla kurulan “Mektebi Fûnun-u İdadiye”lerin ilki olma özelliğiyle Türk eğitim tarihindeki yerini ve önemini araştırmaktır. Türkiye’de eğitim alanında ilk Avrupai okulların açılması askerî sahada olmuştur. Her ne kadar daha önce medrese ve Enderun gibi okullar mevcut iseler de bu okullar ilk zamanlarda gayet muntazam çalışsalar da zamanla çağın gerisinde kalmış ve ihtiyaçlara cevap veremez duruma gelmiştir. Teknolojinin ve dolayısıyla harp silah araç ve gereçlerin gelişmesi; askerî yenilgiler; savaşlarda uygulanan farklı ve değişik taktikler, askerliğin ilmi yönünü ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu da komutanların, yani subayların teorik bilgilerle donatılmasını zorunlu kılmıştır. Bu nedenle de subaylara, askerlikle ilgili teorik bilgilerin verildiği askerî okullar açılmıştır. Yeni açılan okullardan ilki de Kuleli Askerî Lisesi olmuştur. Bu araştırmada, Kuleli Askerî Lisesinin açılışından itibaren ilk yüzyılında okulda uygulan eğitim programları, dersler, derslerde okutulan kitaplar, derslerde kullanılan malzemeler vb. unsurlarla Türk eğitimine sağladığı katkıları ile önemi ayrıntılarıyla tespit edilmiştir. Kuleli Askerî Lisesi, kurumsal olarak birçok yeniliğin ilk başlatıldığı yer olduğu gibi uygulanan eğitim programları sayesinde yetiştirdiği ve mezun ettiği öğrencilerle de Türk eğitim tarihine önemli etkileri olmuştur. Bu sebeple, Kuleli Askerî Lisesinde uygulanan ve günümüzde çok fazla bilinmeyen eğitim programları incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Kurumları, Program, Kuleli Askerî Lisesi.

The purpose of this study is to search the importance and place of Kuleli Military High School, which has been one of the most rooted schools in Turkish schooling history with its being the first ‘High School of Physical Sciences’ which were founded to raise cadets, compared to its own time, either in Ottoman or Republic Era, with modern education. Military schools were the first to be opened in Turkey in European style. Even though there were madrasa and the special school of Palace, and worked orderly and neatly, these schools neither met the needs nor could catch up with the time. Technological, and so weaponry advancements, military defeats, different and varied tactics used in battles showed up the scientific side of arms. That obliged the equipment of commanders’, so officers’ with theoretical knowledge. Therefore military schools were opened where theoretical knowledge about soldiery was given. Kuleli Military High School is the first one of those schools. In this study, the contribution of Kuleli Military High School to Turkish Education is determined by making use of applied educational programs, lessons, books used in lessons since it was founded. Kuleli Military High school isn’t just the place where innovation happens, it is also important in the history of Turkish Educational System by its graduates and educational programs in Turkish history. For this reason, this study examines educational programs used in Kuleli which are not yet popular in Turkish educational system.
