Publication: Yönetici hemşirelerin iletişimde etkililik düzeyleri
Abstract
1. ÖZET YÖNETİCİ HEMŞİRELERİN İLETİŞİMDE ETKİLİLİK DÜZEYLERİ Araştırma, yönetici hemşirelerin iletişimde etkililik düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla metodolojik ve tanımlayıcı olarak planlanmıştır. Araştırma, Nisan 2003-Eylül 2003 tarihleri arasında Taksim Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde yapılmış, evrenini ve örneklemini 115 hemşire oluşturmuş ancak yıllık, doğum izni ve raporlu olmayan 108 hemşire ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, yönetici hemşirelerin ve hemşirelerin sosyo-demografik özelliklerini içeren bilgi formu ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen İletişim Etkililik Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Veri değerlendirilmesinde SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 12.0 kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Yüzdelik, Toplam Madde Korelesyonu, Cronbach Alfa katsayısı, Faktör Analizi, Mann Whitney-U ve Kruskal Wallis-H testleri kullanılmıştır. İletişim Etkililik Ölçeği'nin güvenirlik ve geçerlik alfa katsayısı yönetici hemşirelerde 0.93, hemşirelerde 0.92 olarak bulunmuştur. Yapı geçerliliği için faktör analizi yapılmış ve İletişim Etkililik Ölçeği tek boyutlu hale getirilmiştir. Yönetici hemşirelerin kendi değerlendirmelerine göre iletişim etkililik düzeyleri puan ortalamaları 89.15±19.14, hemşirelerin değerlendirmelerine göre 93.30±18.68 olup iyi düzeydedir. Yönetici hemşirelerin demografik özellikleri ile iletişim etkililik düzeyi karşılaştırıldığında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır (p>0.05). Ancak 40 yaşın üzerinde, lisans mezunu ve mesleki deneyimi fazla olan yönetici hemşirelerin İletişim Etkililik Ölçeği'nden yüksek puan aldıkları belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak; İletişim Etkililik Ölçeği'nin geçerli ve güvenilir olduğu, bu amaçla yapılacak çalışmalarda kullanılabileceği ve Taksim Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde çalışan yönetici hemşirelerin iletişim etkililik düzeyinin yeterli olduğu saptanmıştır. 2.
THE EFFICIENCY LEVELS OF THE NURSE MANAGERS IN COMMUNICATION The research was planned in a methodological and descriptive style, with the aim of predicating the efficiency levels of the nurse managers in communication. The research was done in The Taksim Education and Research Hospital between the dates April 2003 and September 2003. 115 nurses had constituted the universe and the sample of the research but the research was actualized with 108 nurses who were not at annual and parturition leave. The data were collected with the information form including the socio-demographical characteristics of the nurse managers and the nurses and with The Communication Efficiency Scale which was prepared by the researcher. SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 12.0 Program was used in the data evaluation. The data were evaluated with the Percentages, Total Item Correlation, Cronbach Alpha Coefficient, Factor Analysis, Mann Whitney-U and Kruskal Wallis-H tests. The reliability and the validity alpha coefficient of The Communication Efficiency Scale was found 0.93 in the nurse managers and 0.92 in the nurses. Factor analysis was done for the structure validation and The Communication Efficiency Scale was formed in one dimension. Both of the average scores which the nurse managers have taken (89.15) and which the nurses have given to the nurse managers (93.30) from The Communication Efficiency Scale are at good level. When the demographical characteristics of the nurse managers have been compared with the communication level, it was not found a statistical significant correlation (p>0.05). But the nurse managers who are over 40 ages, license grad and had a long time professional experience were found conspicuous because of their high communication scores. As a result it was predicated that The Communication Efficiency Scale is reliable and valid and can be used in these studies and the efficiency levels of the nurse managers who work in The Taksim Education and Research Hospital are enough.
