Abstract
Azalan kaynaklar göz önüne alındığında, üretim maliyetlerinin düşürülmesiyle birlikte kar marjını arttırmak tüm ülkeler için en önemli konu halini almıştır. Bu nedenle atık yönetimi, hem üretim maliyetlerini düşürmek hem de alternatif malzemeler oluşturmak adına adından sıkça söz ettirmektedir. Buna ek olarak çevresel bilincin artmasıyla birlikte atık yönetiminde yeni konseptler oluşmakta ola çıkarak, “sıfır atık” anlayışı gündeme gelmiştir. Özellikle Avrupa ülkelerinde, çok kısa bir süre içinde sektörlerin sıfır atık anlayışını benimseyerek üretimlerini bu yönde geliştireceği öngörülmektedir.Tüm bu atıkların, atık hiyerarşisi göz önüne alınarak değerlendirmeleri ve ekonomiye kazandırılmaları gerekliliği doğmuştur. Bu konu ayrıca sürdürülebilirlik açısından da oldukça önemlidir. Üretilen bu cüruflara, kullanım alanı araştırarak atıl durumda kalmasının önlenmesi sıfır atık anlayışında incelenmesi gereken ilk ve en önemli konu haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada elektrik ark fırınlarında oluşan cürufların kullanılması ve değerlendirilmesi araştırılmıştır.
Raising profit margins by lowering production costs has become the most important issue all over the world, given the progress of the industry and the decline in available resources. For this reason, waste management will be one of the leading factors for both reducing manufacturing costs and bringing other new profit items. In addition, the developing environmental consciousness has brought new concepts and trends in waste management. In this context, zero waste is taken seriously in many countries and many commercial or non-commercial institutions. Especially in Europe, it is predicted that these countries and institutions will switch to zero-waste production technologies after a certain period of time.Attempts to restore these wastes to the economy must be made in accordance with the waste hierarchy. This is also important in terms of sustainable development. Reducing slag production, investigation to utilization in different application should be analysed considering to scope of zero waste.This study is focused on utilisation and valorisation of EAF slags.
