Abstract
Türk Basınında Köşe Yazarı Egemenliğinin Ortaya Çıkardığı Yapısal ve Etik Sorunlar Bu tezde, Türkiye’de ulusal yayın yapan gazetelerdeki köşe yazarı egemenliğinin ortaya çıkardığı yapısal ve etik sorunlar ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda ticari kitle gazetelerindeki köşe yazarlığı pratiğinin temel karakteristikleri ortaya konularak, gazetecilik mesleğinin işleyiş biçiminde ve üretim süreçlerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Bu kapsamda gazete çalışanları içinde, giderek daha fazla ağırlığını artıran köşe yazarlarının medya organizasyonlarında neden olduğu bozulmalar tartışılmıştır. Tezin birinci bölümünde, haber ve muhabir kavramları ele alınarak gazetecilik mesleği içinde köşe yazarlığına kavramsal çerçevede açıklık getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Yine bu bölümde köşe yazarlığının yazılı basının başlangıcından günümüze geçirdiği yapısal dönüşümler incelenmiştir. Türkiye’de köşe yazarlığı faaliyetlerinin analizinin yapıldığı ikinci bölümde ise, köşe yazarlığının yükselişinin nedenleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Gazetecilik mesleği içinde köşe yazarlığı egemenliğinin muhabirlik üzerinde yol açtığı olumsuzluklar da bu çerçevede değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümü, araştırma kapsamında elde edilen verilerden hareketle, Türk basınında köşe yazarı egemenliğinin ulaştığı boyutların, daha önceki bölümlerde ortaya konan teorik açılımlar, konu ve kavramlar ekseninde analizine ayrılmıştır. Çalışmada ayrıca gazetelerdeki haber ve köşe yazısı sayısında son dönemde yaşanan değişim incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda köşe yazarlığına bakışta Türk basını ile batı basını (ABD, İngiltere) arasındaki farklılıklar, gazetelerde yer alan köşe yazısı sayısı üzerinden karşılaştırılmıştır.
Structural and Ethical Problems Arising out of the Sovereignty of Columnist in the Turkish Press The thesis has examined the structure and ethical problems arising out of the sovereignty of the columnist in the national newspapers in Turkey. In this sense, fundamental characteristics of the columnist practice in the commercial mass newspapers have been examined and their effects over the operational form and production processes of profession of journalism have been examined. In this extent, the distortions the columnists whose impact is increasing gradually among newspaper workers cause in the media organizations is discussed. In the first section of the thesis, news and correspondent terms have been defined and the columnist within the profession of journalism have been tried to be explained within the conceptual framework. Once again, in this section, the structural transformations of columnist from the beginning of the printed media until today have been observed. In the second section where columnist activities in Turkey have been analyzed, the reasons of rise of the columnist have been laid emphasis on. And the hitches the columnist dominance in the journalism professionalism have caused on reporters have been taken into consideration in this frame. In the third section of the thesis, the dimension of the sovereignty of the columnist in the Turkish media has been analyzed in the axis of the theoretical expansions, subjects and terms set forth in the previous sections in the furtherance of the data acquired in the scope of the research. In the study also the change experienced in the number of news and columns in the newspapers is examined. In this context, the differences between the Turkish media and the Western media (USA, England) at the sight of advancement on columnist have been compared in terms of the number of columns in the newspapers.
