Müellifi bilinmeyen muhtasar Siyer-i Nebî’nin çeviri yazılı metni ve değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Müellifi bilinmeyen muhtasar Siyer-i Nebî’nin çeviri yazılı metni ve değerlendirilmesi Bu çalışmada müellifi, ismi ve telif tarihi billinmeyen muhtasar bir siyer eseri, çeviri yazılı metni hazırlanarak incelenmiştir. Eser, Süleymaniye Kütüphanesi Hacı Mahmud Efendi koleksiyonunda 04355 numara ile kayıtlı ve tek nüshadır. Siyere dair konuları ihtisar ederek ele almış olması sebebiyle esere tarafımızca Muhtasar Siyer-i Nebî adı verilmiştir. Eserin dibâcesinde müellife doğrudan işaret eden herhangi bir isim zikredilmemiştir. Elimizdeki tek isim son varakta gittikçe kısalan satırlar halinde üçgen şekilde yer alan kayıtta geçen Sâlih b. İbrahim’dir. Şekil şartları açısından bakıldığında bu isim müstensihe işaret etmektedir. Ancak müellif isminin dibâcede zikredilmediği kimi yazma eserlerde son varaktaki isim müellife de işaret edebilmektedir. İncelenen arşiv belgeleri, bibliyografik ve biobibliyografik eserlerin hiçbirisinde Berkofça’lı Salih b. İbrahim’e dair herhangi bir bilgiye rastlanmamıştır. Bu husus, siyer açısından önemli olan özel isimlerdeki yazım yanlışları, metnin imla, fonoloji ve morfonoloji özellikleri ile birlikte değerlendirildiğinde, Salih b. İbrahim’in müelliften ziyade müstensihe işaret ettiği sonucuna kuvvet kazandırmıştır. Muhtasar Siyer-i Nebî Hz. Peygamber’in nesebinin tanıtımıyla başlayıp vefatına kadar geçen süreci, evlatlarını, evliliklerini, silahlarını zikrettikten sonra kısaca dört halifeyi, Hz. Hasan’ın hilafetini, Hz. Hüseyin’i ele almış, son olarak 3-4 satırlık bir hacim içerisinde hilafetin Emeviler’e (661-750) ardından Abbasiler’e (750-1258) ve 945/ 1538 yılında Osmanlı Devleti’ne (1300-1922) geçişini anlatmıştır.

The transliterated text and evaluation of the anonymous ‘Muhtasar Siyer-i Nebî’ In this study, a concise siyer work of unknown author, title, and date of composition has been examined by preparing its transliterated text. The work is preserved as a single copy in the Süleymaniye Library, Hacı Mahmud Efendi Collection, registered under number 04355. Since it addresses the topics of siyer in an abridged manner, the work has been titled Muhtasar Siyer-i Nebî (“Concise Biography of the Prophet”) by us. In the preface (dibâce) of the work, no name directly referring to the author is mentioned. The only name available is that of Sâlih b. İbrahim, which appears in the final folio in a triangular form with gradually shortening lines. From a codicological perspective, this name points to the copyist (müstensih). However, in certain manuscripts where the author’s name is not mentioned in the preface, the name in the final folio can also refer to the author. No information regarding Sâlih b. İbrahim of Berkofça has been found in the archival documents or in any bibliographic or biobibliographic sources consulted. When this fact is evaluated together with orthographic errors in proper names of particular importance for siyer, as well as with the orthographic, phonological, and morphonological features of the text, the conclusion that Sâlih b. İbrahim was the copyist rather than the author gains further weight. Muhtasar Siyer-i Nebî begins with the introduction of the Prophet’s genealogy and covers the period until his death, mentioning his children, marriages, and weapons; then briefly discusses the four caliphs, the caliphate of Hasan, and Husayn. Finally, in a brief passage of three to four lines, it narrates the transition of the caliphate to the Umayyads (661–750), then to the Abbasids (750–1258), and finally, in 945/ 1538, to the Ottoman Empire (1300–1922).
