Yeni toplumsal hareketler bağlamında din ve çevrecilik : İslamî çevre hareketleri

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın konusu bir toplumsal hareket olarak İslamî çevreciliktir. Yeni toplumsal hareketler bağlamında din ve çevrecilik, İslamî çevre hareketleri üzerinden ele alınmıştır. Önce toplumsal ve yeni toplumsal hareket kavramları, çevre hareketleri ve dinlerin çevreye bakışları tartışılmış, ardından İslamî çevre hareketleri dünyadan ve Türkiye’den çeşitli örnekler ışığında çerçeveleme kuramına göre yorumlanmıştır. İslamî çevre hareketlerinin ve bu hareketlere aktif olarak katılan bireylerin çevre sorunlarının sebeplerinin, çözüm önerilerinin ve harekete katılmaları için onları güdüleyen etmenleri nasıl çerçevelediklerinin anlaşılması ve yorumlanması hedeflenmiştir. Bu maksatla konuyla ilgili elde edilen her türlü veri, söylem analizi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmamız İslamî çevre hareketlerinin emanet, halifelik, mizan, ahiret temel kavramları etrafında şekillendiği, dünyada ve Türkiye’de çevre sorunlarının sebeplerini ve sonuçlarını benzer ifadelerle çerçeveledikleri, onları çevreci olmaya motive eden ortak gerekçeleri olduğu; çerçeveleme süreçlerinde ortaya çıkan farklılıkların ise kültürel, coğrafi ve siyasi etkilerle şekillendiği sonuçlarına ulaşmıştır. Türkiye’deki İslamî çevreciliği çerçeveleme kuramına göre araştıran bir çalışma olmadığı gibi dünyadaki İslamî çevre hareketleri hakkında Türkçe yapılmış herhangi bir araştırma da yoktur. Çalışmamız bu boşluğu doldurmaktadır.

The subject of this research is Islamic environmentalism as a social movement. In the context of new social movements, religion and environmentalism are discussed with a focus on Islamic environmental movements. The concepts of social and new social movements, environmental movements and religions' view of the environment were discussed firstly, then Islamic environmental movements were interpreted according to the framing theory in the light of various examples from the world and Turkey. Our research aims to understand and interpret how Islamic environmental movements and individuals who actively participate in these movements frame the causes of environmental problems, their solutions and the factors that motivate them to join the movement. For this purpose, all kinds of data obtained on the subject were evaluated by discourse analysis method. Our research shows that Islamic environmental movements are shaped around the basic concepts of al-amanah, stewardship (khalifa), mizan, and al-akhirah, and that Islamic environmentalists frame the causes and consequences of environmental problems in the world and in Turkey with similar expressions, and that they have common reasons that motivate them to be environmentalists; while the differences that emerged in the framing processes were shaped by cultural, geographical and political effects. There is no study investigating Islamic environmentalism in Turkey according to the framing theory, and there is no study conducted in Turkish about Islamic environmental movements in the world. Our study has filled this gap.
