Publication: Türkçe meallerin istiâre sanatı açısından değerlendirilmesi
Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Kur’an-ı Kerîm’in edebi üsluplarından biri olan istiâre sanatı, çeviri yöntemleri bakımındandan ele alınmıştır. Öncelikle istiâre sanatının kavramal çerçevesi çizilmiş, sonra da genel anlamda çeviri sorunu incelenerek istiâre bulunan ayetlerin çevirisi için belli yöntemler belirlenmiştir. Bunun akabinde, Türkiye’de yapılan meal çalışmalarından belli niteliklerle öne çıkanlar, istiâre bulunan ayetlerin çevirisi açısından bir değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda; genel anlamda edebi sanat içeren ayetlerin, özel olarak da istiâre sanatı bulunan ayetlerin çevirisinde belli sorunlar tespit edilmiştir. Bu sorunların nasıl aşılabileceğine dair belli yöntemler geliştirilerek önerilmiştir. Konumuz çerçevesinde hangi istiâre türü için hangi yöntemlerin tercih edilebileceği belirtilmiştir. Bu çerçevede örnek olarak incelenen ayetler için önerdiğimiz yöntemler dikkate alınarak alternatif çeviriler yapılmıştır. Çalışmamızın, Kur’an-ı Kerîm’in edebi ifade gücünü, çevrileceği hedef dilde yansıtmak adına yapılacak çalışmalara mütevâzi bir katkı sunacağını umuyoruz. Meal
In this study we discussed the metaphorical use of some Quranic verses in terms of general translation methods. Firstly, we have introduced a framework for the term “metaphor” then we have dealt with the question of translation in general. Afterwards, we tried to determine some rules for the interpretation of the verses concerned. Then we have analized a group of popular Turkish translations of Quran in Turkey. We have found some mistakes in these translations following the rules of rhetoric in general and the rules of metaphor in question. We have introduced some methods and suggested them to solve this problem and sugested that which methods could be utilized for every type of metaphor. Accordingly, we have put forward some alternative translations of selected verses considering above-mentioned rules. We hope that our study could make a small contribution to reflecting the rhetoric and eloquence of Quran in the Turkish translations. Metaphor, Translation
