Üreme çağındaki kadınların acil kontrasepsiyon hakkındaki bilgi düzeyi

Abstract

Amaç; Bu çalışma üreme çağındaki kadınların acil kontrasepsıyon'a (AK) ilişkin bilgi düzeylerini değerlendirmek amacıyla planlanmış ve gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipteki bu araştırma, İstanbul ili Anadolu yakasındaki üç eğitim ve araştırma hastanesinde yürütüldü. Bu hastanelere başvuran, üreme çağındaki (15-49 yaş) kadınlara, AK bilgi düzeyini değerlendirmek üzere oluşturulmuş bir anket uygulandı. Uygulamadan sonra varsa katılanların yönteme ilişkin soruları cevaplandırılarak, bilgi içeren bir broşür sunuldu. Bulgular: Toplam 634 kişiyle görüşüldü. Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 32.01 (±9.04, [15-19] ) idi. Evli olanlar bütünün %69.4'ünü oluşturmaktaydı. "AK, ertesi gün hapı ya da acil doğum kontrol yöntemi" deyimlerinden birini duydum diyenlerin oranı %31.7 idi. Yöntemi duymuş olan katılımcılar arasında yöntemin ne amaçla kullanıldığını bilenlerin oranı %47.8, korunmasız ilişkiden sonra ne kadar süre içinde alınırsa etkili olduğunu bilenlerin oranı %38.3, bu amaçla kullanılabilecek hapa bir örnek verebilenlerin oranı ise %3.0 (n=6) idi. Bütün katılımcılar arasında bu oranlar sırasıyla %15.1, %12.1, %0.9 idi. Yöntemi duyduğunu söyleyenler, daha çok bir sağlık güvencesine sahip, lise ve üzeri düzeyde eğitim almış kadınlar iken (sırasıyla p=0.017, p=0.000), yöntemi duymamış olanlar daha çok ev hanımı ve ikiden fazla çocuğu olan kadınlardı (sırasıyla p-0.000, p=0.000). Yöntemin kullanımına yönelik ayrıntıları bilenler ise 35 yaşın altında, eğitimli kadınlardı (p=<0.05). Sonuç: Çalışmamızda katılımcıların yansından azının yöntemi duyduğu; yöntemin kullanım amacını ve zamanını bilenlerin oranının düşük olduğu, bu amaçla kullanılan ilaçların ise yeterince tanınmadığı saptanmıştır.

Aim: This study was planned to gather information about the knowledge level of women of reproductive age about emergency contraception (EC). Method: This descriptive study was conducted in three education and research hospitals situated in the Anatolian side of Istanbul. A questionnaire designed to evaluate the knowledge level about EC, was diverted to women of reproductive age (15-49 years of age), their questions about the method were answered and a brochure including information was presented. Results: A total of 634 women were interviewed. The mean age of the participants was 32.01 (&plusmn;9.04, [15-49] ). Married women formed 69.4% of the total number The rate of participants who suggested that they had heard one of the terms, &quot;EC, the day after pill and emergent birth control method&quot; was 31.7%. Among this, the rate of the participants who knew the aim of the method was 47.8%, who knew the timing of taking pills after the unprotected intercourse was 38.3%, who knew an example of pills utilized for this purpose was 3.0% (n=6). These rates were 15.1%, 12.1%, 0.9% among all participants, respectively. Participants, who had heard the method were women who had health insurance (p=0.017) and an education level over high school (p=0.00G), women who had not heard the method were house-wives (pO.000), and who had 2 or more children (p=0.000). The ones who knew the details related to the use of the method were under 35 years of age, educated women (p&lt;0.05). Conclusion: In this study it was determined that less than half of the participants had heard the method, the rates of the participants who knew the aim and the timing of the method were low, and the names of the pills that could be used for this purpose were not known.
