Ebû Ubeyde’ni̇n Mecâzü’l-Kur’ân’inin hi̇crî IIi-V. asır tefsi̇rleri̇ne etki̇si̇= The impact of Abu 'Ubaydah's Majāz Al-Qur'ān on the tafsirs of the III-V. centuries

Abstract

Bu tezde İslam’ın ilk dönemlerinde yaşamış, bir geçiş dönemi dilcisi ve müfessiri Ebû Ubeyde’nin Garîbü’l-Kur’ân ve dilbilimsel tefsir literatürünün ilklerinden sayılabilecek olan Mecazü’l-Kur’ân adlı eserinde yer verdiği dilbilimsel görüş ve rivayetlerin kaynağı ve kaynaklığı meselesi konu edilmiştir. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde Ebû Ubeyde’nin hayatı; ilmi serüveni ve kişiliği, yaşadığı dönemin fikrî, siyasî ve dînî yapısı göz önünde bulundurularak incelenmiştir. Bu bölümde yer alacak bilgilerin özellikle çalışmanın diğer bölümleriyle irtibat kurulabilecek düzeyde ve genişlikte olmasına başka bir ifadeyle efrâdını câmi ağyârını mâni nitelikte bilgiler olmasına dikkat edilecektir. Çalışmanın omurgasını oluşturacak olan bölümde ise Ebû Ubeyde’nin Mecâzü’l-Kur’ân’ındaki dilbilimsel görüş ve rivayetlerin kaynağı ve kaynaklığı meselesi ele alınmıştır. Bu bölümde ilk olarak Mecâzü’l-Kur’ân’ın kendisinden önceki döneme ait yazılı kaynaklarının günümüze ulaşmaması sebebiyle Ebû Ubeyde’nin bu eserinde referans gösterdiği isimlere yönelik kaynak değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Daha sonra ise Ebû Ubeyde’nin görüşlerinden istifade edip eserlerinde bu görüşlere atıfta bulunan isimler ve eserleri tespit edilmiştir. Bu hususta alan ve dönem sınırlaması yapılarak yalnızca hicrî 3-5 asırlarda telif edilmiş tefsir eserleri dikkate alınmıştır. Bu çalışma neticesinde bir bakıma Ebû Ubeyde’nin Mecâzü’l-Kur’ân’ındaki dilbilimsel görüş ve rivayetlerin şeceresi çıkartılmış ve etki tarihi daha somut bir şekilde ortaya konulmuştur. Bu çalışmada kullanılan yöntemin, günümüzde ilk dönemlerde yaşamış olan âlimler ve bu âlimlerin telif ettikleri eserler hakkındaki yaygın kanaatlerin daha somut temeller üzerinden yeniden inşâ edilmesine katkı sunacağı düşünülmektedir.

In this thesis, the origin and sources of the linguistic views and narrations in Abû Ubaydah’s Majâz al-Qur’ân, a work that can be considered as one of the firsts of Garîbü'l-Qur'ân and Linguistic tafsir literature, and its effects on the next periods was discussed. In the first part of the study, the life of Abû Ubaydah will be examined by considering his scientific adventure and personality, the intellectual, political, and religious structure of the period in which he lived. In the another chapter, which becomes the main part of the study, the issue of the source and provenance of linguistic views and narrations in Abû Ubaydah's Majâz al-Qur'ân and effects of these linguistic views and narrations on the next periods were discussed. In this section, firstly, due to the fact that the written sources of al-Majâz al-Qur'ân belonging to the period before it have not survived to the present day, a source evaluation was made for the names that Abû Ubaydah referred to in this work. Then the names and works that make use of the views of Abû Ubaydah and refer to these views in their works were determined. In this regard, only the works on Tafsir that were written in the 3rd and 5th Hijri centuries were taken into account by limiting the field and period. As a result of this study, in a way, the genealogy of linguistic views and narrations in Abû Ubaydah's Majâz al-Qur'ân was revealed and the history of influence was revealed in a more concrete way. It was thought that the method to be used in this study will contribute to the reconstruction of the common opinions about the scholars who lived in the early periods and the works that these scholars wrote on more concrete foundations.
