Abstract
ROBERT MERRİHEW ADAMS’IN İLAHİ BUYRUK TEORİSİ Bu ahlak felsefecilerinden Robert Merrihew Adams’ın, ilahi buyruk teorisinin teolojik iradecilik manasındaki klasik formu üzerinde yaptığı tadilin üç aşamasının araştırılıp tartışılmasını hedeflemektedir. Bu araştırmada, Adams’ın tadilinin teoriyi klasik formuna nispetle ne derece savunulabilir kıldığı ve bu tadil ile teolojik iradeciliğin, doğal hukuk teorisi ile arasındaki farkı koruyup koruyamadığı sorgulanacaktır. ROBERT MERRIHEW ADAMS’ DIVINE COMMAND THEORY This master thesis aims at discussing how Robert Merrihew Adams, contemporary moral philosopher, modified divine command theory’s classical form in three consequent steps. The classical form that is defended by Adams is known as theological voluntarism. I am going to examine in this work whether Adams’ modification makes the theory’s classical version stronger and after Adams’ attempts to modify it, whether theological voluntarism remains as different from natural law theory, which is another type of divine command theory.
