Abstract

Bu araştırma, müzik öğretmeni yetiştiren kurumlarda uygulanmakta olan piyano eğitiminde, öğrencilerin teknik gelişimine ilişkin sorunlarının saptanması ve bu sorunların çözümüne yönelik olarak geliştirilen düzeye uygun bir teknik alıştırma metodunun etkililiğini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada öğrencilerin teknik sorunlarının saptanmasında betimsel araştırma modelinden yararlanılmıştır. Bu sorunların çözümünde etkili olabilecek bir yöntemin denenme aşamasında ise deneysel araştırma modeli uygulanmış; böylece problem, iki farklı boyutta ele alınmıştır: 1) Mevcut olan teknik sorunların belirlenmesi. 2) Belirlenen sorunların çözümünde uygulanabilecek, düzeye uygun teknik alıştırma örneklerinin oluşturulup, etkililiğin saptanması. Durum tespitine yönelik betimsel araştırmada, veri toplama aracı olarak, Likert tipi beş dereceli ölçek kullanılmıştır. Deneysel araştırma sürecinde ise yapılan uygulama sonucunda öğrencilerin teknik ve müzikal gelişimlerini değerlendirebilmek amacıyla performans testleri geliştirilmiştir. Betimsel araştırma verilerinin çözümlenmesi sonucu elde edilen bulgulara göre, müzik öğretmeni adaylarının birçok teknik problemle karşılaştıkları ve bu problemlerin çözümünde etkili olabilecek, piyano eğitimlerindeki düzeylerine uygun teknik egzersiz çalışmalarına ihtiyaç duydukları saptanmıştır. Anketi yanıtlayan müzik öğretmeni adaylarının %90,4'ünün, piyano eğitimlerinde düzeylerine uygun bir teknik alıştırma metodundan yararlanmak istedikleri belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin teknik gelişimine ilişkin sorunların çözümüne yönelik olmak üzere müzik öğretmeni adaylarının piyano eğitiminde kullanabilecekleri, düzeylerine uygun teknik alıştırma örneklerinden oluşan bir metot geliştirilmiş; deneysel süreçte bu metot deney grubunu oluşturan öğrenciler üzerinde uygulanırken, kontrol grubu uygulama dışında bırakılmıştır. Deneysel araştırmada uygulanan teknik ve müzikal performans testlerinden elde edilen sonuçlardan, araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda oluşturulmuş teknik alıştırma örneklerinin uygulandığı deney grubunun, bu alıştırmalardan yararlanmayan kontrol grubuna göre daha başarılı olduğu saptanmıştır. Bulgulardan, müzik öğretmeni adaylarının piyano eğitiminde karşılaşılan teknik sorunlarının çözülmesinde, bunun yanında piyano eğitiminde istenilen düzeye ulaşmalarında, düzenli ve aşamalı olarak yapılacak düzeye uygun teknik alıştırmaların etkili olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca, istatistiksel analizler sonucunda, öğrencilerin müzikal gelişimi ile teknik gelişimleri arasında %97.3 değeri ile 1'e yakın anlamlılık derecesinin bulunması, bu iki değişken arasındaki güçlü pozitif ilişkiyi göstermektedir . Araştırma sonuçlarının, müzik öğretmeni yetiştiren kurumlarda uygulanan piyano eğitiminin verimliliğini ve etkililiğini artıracak nitelikte olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bunun yanında, müzik öğretmeni adaylarının teknik gelişimine ilişkin yapılmış ilk araştırma olması ve bu doğrultuda, hedefe uygun teknik alıştırma örneklerinden oluşturulmuş bir metot önerisini içermesi bakımından, araştırmanın Müzik Eğitimi alanına katkı sağlayacağına inanılmaktadır. The purpose of this research was to examine the effectiveness of technical exercises method developed for establishment and solution to the problems in students' technical development in Music Teacher Education Institutions. 'Descriptional' research model was used to determine students' technical problems. In the application phase, which was effective in the solution of these problems, 'Experimental' research model was applied. Thus, the problem was taken into consideration from two different aspects: 1.Examination of the current problems. 2.Creating technical exercise examples suitable for the level that can be used in the solution of the determined problems and investigating their effectiveness. In the 'Descriptional' research, which is for determining the situation, a graded 5 point Likert scale was used as a means of data gathering. On the other hand, in the 'Experimental' research process, performance tests were developed in order to evaluate the students' technical and musical development as a result of the research. The findings obtained from the 'Descriptional' research indicate that music teacher candidates face a lot of technical problems and they need technical exercises suitable for their level in piano training which may be useful in the solution of the problems. 90.4 % of the music teacher candidates, who replied the questionnaire, indicated that they want to benefit from an appropriate technical exercise method appropriate to their level. A Technical exercise examples method, which are appropriate for candidates' level, were developed for candidates to use throughout their education towards the solution of their problems existing in their technical development. While this method was applied to 'experimental group' during the experimental process, the 'control group' was excluded from this application. Findings that were obtained from the technical and musical performance tests indicated that the experimental group were more successful than the control group who did not benefit from this exercises. The findings also showed that regular and gradual technical exercises in appropriate level were not only effective in solving the technical problems candidates face but also effective in achieving the targeted level. As a result of the statistical analysis, findings, the degree of meaningfulness about 97.3 % to 1 between the candidates' musical and technical development, indicated the powerful positive correlation between these two variables. It is thought that the results of the research have the capacity to improve the productivity and effectiveness of piano training that is applied in music teacher education institutions. The research contributes to the field of music training as it is the first research on Music Teacher Candidates' technical development and, towards this aim; it includes a suggestion of method consisting of technical exercise examples.
