Publication: Sokakta çalıştırılan çocukların ailelerine yönelik aile eğitim programının değerlendirilmesi
Abstract
SOKAKTA ÇALIŞTIRILAN ÇOCUKLARIN AİLELERİNE YÖNELİK AİLE EĞİTİM PROGRAMININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ Bu araştırmada; sokakta çalıştırılan çocukların ailelerine yönelik “Aile Eğitim hazırlanarak uygulanmış ve daha sonra bu programa ilişkin değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından çalışmada kullanılmak üzere 6 hafta ve 6 oturumdan oluşan eğitim ncesi sokakta çocuğunu çalıştırdığı belirlenen 50 aile tespit edilmiş, bu ailelere yönelik olarak hazırlanan anket doldurularak, öntest uygulaması yapılmıştır. Tespit edilen ailelerden 25 kişi eğitim programına alınarak çalışma tamamlanmıştır. Eğitim programının sona ermesinden sonra bilgi değerlendirme testi bir kez daha uygulanarak yapılan eğitim çalışmasının başarısı değerlendirilmiştir. Ailelerden elde edilen veriler çerçevesinde sokakta çalıştırılan çocukları tanıtıcı bilgiler frekans ve yüzdeleri hesaplanarak sayısallaştırılmıştır. Bu veriler çerçevesinde; çocukların kalabalık ailelerden geldiği, sosyo-ekonomik durumlarının yetersiz olduğu, ailelerin ve çocukların eğitim düzeylerinin çok düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sokakta çalıştırılan çocukların kalabalık cadde ve sokaklarda büyüklerinin koruması olmadan çalıştıkları, çalışma saatlerinin yetişkinler için bile ağır sayılabilecek düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sokakta çalıştırılan çocukların bir kısmının okula kayıtlı olduğu ancak sokakta çalışma nedeniyle sık sık devamsızlık yaptığı görülmüştür. Ailelerin çocukların sokakta çalışması sonucu karşılaşabileceği olumsuzluklar hakkında bilgi seviyelerinin çok düşük olduğu ve bu konuda tedbirler almadıkları, ailelerin tamamına yakınının alınan yasal kararlar ve idari cezalara rağmen çocuğunu sokakta çalıştırma eğiliminde olduğu görülmüştür. Ailelerin çocuklarına yönelik bakış açısında değişiklikler yapabilme ve en temelde onlara çocukluklarını yaşatabilme anlamında katkısı planlanan aile eğitim programına katılan anne ve babalara belirlenen konularda bilgi aktarımı yapılmış, daha sonra konular tartışılarak gelen sorulara cevaplar verilmiştir. Eğitim anlamında katılımcıların eğitim seviyesi de göz önüne alınarak düzenlemeler yapılmış, eğitsel etkinlikler ve oyunlarla eğitim programının içeriği zenginleştirilmiştir. Yapılan aile eğitim esnasında alınan geri bildirimlerden ve program sonrasında uygulanan bilgi değerlendirme testi sonucundan yapılan eğitimin aileler üzerinde etkili olduğu saptanmıştır. EVALUATION OF THE FAMILY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WORKING ON THE STREETS In this study a family training program is prepared and implemented for families of children working on the streets and then this program is evaluated. Before developing a six-week training program including six sessions to use in the study, the researcher determined 50 families making their children work on the streets. Then a pretest was done through conducting a survey prepared for these families. Study was completed by involving 25 people from the determined families into this training program. At the end of the training program, information assessment test was done again and success of the training practice was evaluated. Information obtained from the families on the children working on the streets is digitized through frequency and percentage calculations. Within the framework of these data, it is found that these children are a member of crowded families and have inadequate socioeconomic conditions; and education level of them and their families is very low. As for the children working on the streets, it is observed that children deprived of their parents’ protection are working on the crowded streets and roads, their working hours are not suitable even for the adults and their attendance to and success in schools are not so high although most of them are going to school. It is seen that their families do not have information on the negative conditions their children may encounter while working on the streets; they do not take any measure against these negative conditions and almost all of the families are inclined to make their children work on the streets in spite of the legal decisions taken on this issue and the relevant administrative penalties. First of all, parents involved in the family training program which aims at making contribution to change the parents’ points of view for their children and mainly to give them the opportunity to live their own childhood are informed on the predetermined issues; and then these issues are discussed with them and their questions on the relevant issues are answered. Taking into consideration education levels of the participants, several regulations were made and training program content was enriched through educational activities and games. Feedbacks during the family training program and the information assessment test done at the end of the program indicate that this training program make impact on the families. ldren working on the streets, family training program, child labor, working children.
