Dijital televizyon yayıncılığındaki gelişmeler ve Türkiye

Abstract

1990'ların ilk yarısında video kanallarının gelişmesi oldukça durağandı. Bu dönemde uydu üzerinden yayın yapan kanallar, genel olarak, daha uzak yerlere erişmek için kullanılıyor ve ülkeleri dışındaki kişilere erişebiliyordu. TV kanallarının sayısının artması Doğrudan Eve Yayın Yapan (DTH:Direct to Home) paralı Dijital Televizyon platformlarının 1996 yılından itibaren hizmete girmesine bağlıdır. Dijital teknolojinin gelişmesi sektörü tamamı ile değiştirmiş, TV kanallarının DTH platformlarından yayın yapmaları verici maliyetlerini sabit tutarken, aynı vericiden 6-10 kanala birden yayın hizmeti verilmeye başlanmıştır. Bu teknik gelişme Doğrudan Eve Yayın Yapan DTH platformlarının analogdan dijitale dönmesinde neden olmuş ve DTH platformları bütün dünyaya yayılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile yukarıda kısaca değinilen Dijital Televizyon Yayıncılığındaki Gelişmeler ve bu gelişmelerin Türkiye'deki etkileri incelenmiştir. Dijital Televizyon yayıncılığının dünyadaki gelişmesi şu sıralar duraklamışsa da yeni tematik kanalların üretilmesi uydu yayın sistemlerindeki teknolojilerin gelişmesine paralel olarak yayın maliyetinin düşmesi, önümüzdeki yıllarda DTH platformlarında yeni birleşmeler sonucunda daha sağlıklı, daha karlı, her ülke veya bölgede bir tane büyük ama her beklentiye cevap veren platformların birleşerek oluşması kaçınılmazdır. Türkiye'de de bu tür birleşmelerin etkilerinin takip edileceği beklenmektedir. The development of the video channels was slow during the first half of 1990's. During this period, generally the channels transmitted via satellites were used to reach to communities outside of the country where the programmes were originated. The increase of the TV channels was happened with the introduction of the Pay TV channels broadcasted via Direct to Home (DTH) platforms, after 1996. The developments on the digital technologies completely changed this sector, the cost of transmission using one transponder stayed constant but 6-10 channels started to use the same transponder for the transmission of TV channels via DTH platforms. This technical development cause the transformation of Direct to Home - DTH platforms from analog to digital and DTH platforms started to be used widely in the world. With this study, The Developments on the Digital Television Broadcasting are explained and the effects of these developments in Turkey are also studied. Although the developments of the digital television is slowed recently in the world; the production of the new thematic channels in parallel to the technological developments of the satellite transmission systems will create more healthy, profitable DTH channels having complete range of pogrammes , through the merger of different platforms in each country. The effects of these mergers are expected to be followed in Turkey, too.
