İttihâd-ı İslam İdeolojisinin Türk Edebiyatına Yansıması (1839-1908)

Abstract

Osmanlı Devleti son yüzyılında yıkılma tehlikesi altındadır. Devlet adamları ve aydınlar bu tehlikeyi ortadan kaldırmak için farklı fikirler geliştirmişlerdir. Bu dönemde yıkılışa bir çözüm olarak sunulan tekliflerden birisi de “ittihâd-ı İslam”dır. Bu fikrin o dönemde ortaya çıkmasına hem yerli hem de Batı’dan gelen tesirler söz konusudur. Bu tesirler; Müslüman olmayan unsurlara verilen imtiyazlar, Batılı aydınların İslâm’a yönelttikleri tenkitler, sömürgeleşmek üzere olan Müslüman ülkelerden gelen yardım talepleri, hilâfet kurumunun dünya Müslümanları üzerindeki etkisinin farkedilmesi, etnik temelli bir birliği amaçlayan Pancermenizm ve Panslavizm ideolojilerinin iz düşümü olarak Panislamizm karşılığının ortaya çıkması şeklinde özetlenebilir. Bu tezin hazırlanış gayesi, Tanzimat ve II. Abdülhamid devirlerinde ittihâd-ı İslam ideolojisinin Türk Edebiyatı eserlerine yansımasını göstermektir. Tez iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde ittihâd-ı İslam ideolojisinin oluşmasındaki tarihî süreç, bu ideali yüzyıllardan beri sürdüren hilâfet kurumu, XIX. asırda İslam âleminin ve Osmanlı Devleti’nin durumu ve Yeni Osmanlılar’ın ve diğer dönem aydınlarının konu ile alakalı gazete makaleleri anlatılır. İkinci bölümde ise bu ideolojinin Ziya Paşa, Namık Kemâl, Ahmet Midhat Efendi, Muallim Naci, Abdülhak Hâmid Tarhan, Mizancı Murad, ve İbnülemin Mahmud Kemal gibi dönemin edebiyatçıları tarafından roman, piyes, manzum ve şiir gibi edebiyat eserlerinde nasıl işlendiği aktarılır. It was in danger of collapse of the Ottoman Empire in the last century. Statesmen and intellectuals have developed different ideas on how to eliminate this hazard. One proposal as a solution to fall in this period was the idea of Panislamism. There has been both the local and western influences in the emergence of this idea in that period. These influences can be summarized as the exemptions granted to non-Muslim citizens at Tanzimat period , the criticisms they turned to Islam of Western intellectuals, the demands for help from Muslim countries they were about to become colonies, the recognition of the impact of the institution of khilafah on Muslim World, the emergence of the concept of Panislamism taking inspiration Pan-Germanism and Panslavism aiming a unity based on ethnicity. That’s the aim of this thesis is to show the reflection of the ideology of Panislamizm to Turkish literature in Tanzimat and II. Abdulhamid periods. The thesis consists of two parts. In the first part, the historical process in the formation of Panislamism ideology, the institution of khilafah protecting this ideal for centuries, the situation of İslamic World and Ottoman Empire in XIX. century and the newspaper articles of the Young Ottomans and the other intellectuals of this period on this subject are explained. In the second part, how to use this ideology in fictional and poetik texts such as novels, theatral plays and poems by litterateur authors of Tanzimat period like Ziya Paşa, Namık Kemal, Ahmet Midhat Efendi, Muallim Naci, Abdülhak Hâmid Tarhan, Mizancı Murad and İbnülemin Mahmud Kemal are described.
