Abstract
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kurucusu Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün “Nerede karşılıklı sevgi ve saygıvarsa, orada itimat ve itaat vardır. İtimat ve itaatin olduğu yerde disiplin vardır. Disiplininolduğu yerde huzur, huzurun olduğu yerde başarı vardır.” özdeyişinin günümüz örgütlerindegeçerliliği irdeleyen bu çalışma, bu özdeyişten hareketle, örgütlerde kariyer başarısının öncellerive bu değişkenlerin birbirleriyle ilişkilerini ölçmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Anketi cevaplayan 473çalışandan elde edilen verilerin analizi sonucunda sevgi ve saygının güven ve itaat, güven veitaatin iş disiplini, iş disiplinin huzur, huzurun da kariyer başarısı üzerinde olumlu etkisi olduğubelirlenmiştir.
The present study examines the validity of the founder of Turkish Republic; Mustafa Kemal_x000D_ Atatürk’s quote “Where there is mutual liking and respect, there is trust and obedience. There_x000D_ is discipline where there is trust and obedience. There is peace of mind where there is discipline,_x000D_ and success where there is peace of mind.” in today’s organizations. Based on this quote, it aims_x000D_ to measure the antecedents of career success in organizations and the relationships between_x000D_ these variables. The analysis of the data obtained from 459 employees revealed that liking and_x000D_ respect has a positive effect on trust and obedience, trust and obedience has a positive effect on_x000D_ work discipline, work discipline has a positive effect on peace of mind and peace of mind has a_x000D_ positive effect on career success.
