Tahrir defterlerinde Gence-Karabağ eyaleti (1140/ 1727-1145/ 1731)

Abstract

Tahrir Defterlerinde Gence-Karabağ Eyaleti (1140/ 1727-1145/ 1731) Devletin gelir kaynaklarını ve vergileri düzenli bir şekilde toplamak amacıyla düzenlenen tahrir defterleri Osmanlı coğrafyasının sosyal-ekonomik tarihine ait istatiksel bilgiler içeren birincil kaynaklardır. Bu nedenle söz konusu tahrir defterleri başta Türkiye olmak üzere pek çok ülkede yayınlanmağa başlanmıştır. Gence-Karabağ eyaleti iki kez Osmanlı yönetiminde bulunmuş ve her ikisinde de bölgenin yeni tahriri yapılmıştır. Özellikle eyaletin 1727 senesine ait tahrir defteri bölgenin siyasî, sosyal ve ekonomik durumu hakkında en doğru bilgiler içeren arşiv belgesidir. İki kaza, beş sancak ve toplam otuz yedi nahiyeden ibaret Gence-Karabağ eyaleti Osmanlı’nın Güney Kafkasya’daki en büyük eyaleti olmuştur. Bu çalışma XVIII. yüzyıla ait tahrir kayıtları ışığında Gence-Karabağ eyaletinin siyasî, fizikî ve coğrafî yapısının yanı sıra nüfus ve ekonomik durumunu ortaya koymağı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma giriş, üç bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde konunun önemi, amacı, yöntemi ve yararlanılan kaynaklar ele alınmıştır. Birinci bölümde Gence-Karabağ eyaletinin XVIII. yüzyıldaki siyasî ve askerî teşkilatı ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde Gence eyaletinde yerleşim ve nüfus konusu detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Tezin son ve üçüncü bölümünde ise eyaletin sosyal ve ekonomik durumu çalışılmıştır. Tez varılan sonuçları kapsayan sonuçla sona erdirilmiştir.

The Ganja-Karabakh Province According To Tahrir Records (1140/ 1727-1145/ 1731) The tahrir records, which were created to collect the government sources of revenue and tax on a regular basis, are invaluable sources of statisticil information to study social and economical history of the Ottoman geography. As a result, the tahrir records began to be published in many countries, especially in Turkiye. The Ganja-Karabakh province was under Ottoman rule twice, and in both cases the new tahrir was conducted. Especially the tahrir records of 1727 provide the most accurate informatin about the political, social and economical situation of the region. Ganja-Karabakh province, whihc consists two townships/ kaza, five sanjaks and total thirty-seven districts was the largest province of the Ottoman Empire in the South Caucasus. This thesis aims to reveal the political, physical and geographical structure, as well as the population an economic situation of the Ganja-Karabakh province in the light of the tahrir records of the eighteenth century. The study consists of introduction and four chapters. The Intoduction is about the importance of the work, its purpose and its methodology. And also inculudes information about used literature. The first chapter deals with the place of the Ganja-Karabakh province in the provincial organization of the Ottoman Empire. In the second chapter of this study is discussed townships of the Ganja-Karabakh province and its settlements, in the third chapter is discussed sanjaks of the province and its settlements. The fourth chapter deals with the social and economical situation of the province. This study ends with a conclusion included reached results.
