Abstract
Bilgi insanlık tarihi ile başlayıp, getirdiği değişimlerle içinde bulunduğumuz çağa ismini vermiştir. Çokuluslu şirketler ise; coğrafi keşiflerle başlayarak, yaşadığı değişimlerle günümüzdeki yapısına ulaşmıştır. Günümüzde, tüketici istekleri doğrultusunda gerçekleştirilen mal ve hizmet üretimi, çokuluslu şirketler aracılığıyla, coğrafi sınırları aşarak dünya pazarlarına sunulabilmektedir. Bunda en önemli faktör, bilgi teknolojisinde yaşanan gelişmelerin bilginin sürekli el değiştirmesine imkan sağlamasıdır. Böylece; bilgi kişiler ve kurumlar arasında sürekli el değiştirmekte, bu hareketlilik ekonomik ve kültürel ilişkileri artırmakta, bilginin yönetimi ve yöneticilerine olan gereksinim ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışma, bilgi yönetimi çalışmalarının devamı olarak nitelendirilebilir. Genelde bilgi yönetimi, özelde çokuluslu şirketlerde bilgi yönetiminin öneminin vurgulandığı çalışmada; çokuluslu şirketlerdeki uygulamalara dair bilgiler ve elde edilen sonuçlara yer verilmiş, 3 ncü Kor.K.lığının çokuluslulaşma süreci gözlemlere dayanılarak incelenmiş, sonraki çalışmalara katkıda bulunulması amaçlanmıştır.
Information, which has started with the human being, named the present era with the developments it had brought up. On the other side, multinational companies had been started with the geographical explorations and reached to its modern structure along with continuous changes. Today, the goods and services, which have been produced on customer demand, can be presented to consumer all around the world, by exceeding the geographical boundaries trough multinational companies. Throughout this process, the most important factor is the possibility of exchanging information, which was made possible by the developments in information technologies. Consequently, the information is continuously being changed among people and organizations, to result in increase in economic and cultural relations, thus brings up the requirement for information management and managers. This study can be assessed as continuation on information management studies. The study which generally covers information management and specifically mentions on the information management in multinational companies, has data on implementations in multinational companies and, the evaluation of multi-nationalization process in HQ 3rd Corps based on the observations; aims to be helpful and contributive for further studies.
