Publication: Kavram haritaları ile oluşturulan bakım planlarının öğrencilerin eleştirel düşünme eğilimlerine etkisi
Abstract
Kavram Haritaları ile Oluşturulan Bakım Planlarının Öğrencilerin Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilimlerine Etkisi Selma ATAY Bu çalışma, Kavram haritaları ile hazırlana bakım planlarının öğrencilerin eleştirel düşünme eğilimlerine etkisini belirlemek amacı ile yapıldı. Bu amaçla, Çanakkale on sekiz mart üniversitesi sağlık yüksekokulu hemşirelik birinci ve ikinci sınıf öğrencilerinden deney ve kontrol grubu oluşturularak araştırmaya toplam 80 öğrenci katıldı. Araştırmada ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneme modeli kullanıldı. Grupların eleştirel düşünme eğilimleri California Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilim Ölçeği kullanılarak ölçüldü. Ayrıca deney grubu öğrencilerinin hazırladıkları bakım planları kavram haritalı bakım planlarını değerlendirme kriterleri ile değerlendirildi. Araştırmada nitel ve nicel yöntemler birlikte kullanıldı. Nicel verilerin değerlendirilmesinde ki-kare, t-testi, çoklu regresyon analizi ve nitel verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz uygulandı. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin eleştirel düşünme eğilimi ön test ve son test toplam puanında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olmadığı; alt ölçeklerden sadece kendine güven alt ölçeğinin ön test ve son test puan ortalaması arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunurken deney grubu öğrencilerinin ön test – son test puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olduğu bulundu. Deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin toplam ve alt ölçek son test puan ortalamaları arasında ise anlamlı bir fark olduğu bulundu. Ayrıca kavram haritalı bakım planı değerlendirme puan ortalamaları ile öğrencilerin eleştirel düşünme eğilimi son test puanları arasında yüksek düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptandı. Deney grubundaki öğrencilerin kavram haritalı bakım planlarına ilişkin görüşleri ise; hastayı/ bireyi bütüncü olarak görmeyi sağlaması, çapraz bağların kavramlar arasında ilişkilerin görülmesini ve neden sonuç ilişkisini kurulmasını sağlaması, yaratıcı olmayı gerektirmesi, şekilsel olması incelenen kavramların akılda kalıcılığını artırması, bakım planını eğlenceli hale getirmesi şeklinde sıralandı. The Influence Of Care Plans Formed By Concept Maps On Critical Thinking Dispositions Selma ATAY This study was performed to analyze the effects of care plans prepared using Concept maps on the critical thinking dispositions of students. An experimental group and a control group were made up of a total of 80 freshman and sophomore students from Çanakkale University Health School, Department of Nursing. The study used a pre-test post-test control group design. The critical thinking dispositions of the groups were measured using the California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory. In addition, the care plans prepared by the experimental group students were evaluated using the criteria for evaluating care plans with concept maps. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used in the study. Chi-square, t-test, and multiple regression analysis were used in analyzing the quantitative data, and descriptive analysis in the analysis of the qualitative data. The results showed that; there were no statistically significant differences in the pre-test and post-test critical thinking disposition scores of the control group students; and of the sub-scales, only the self confidence sub-scale’s pre-test and post-test scores had significant differences; whereas there were statistically significant differences in the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group students. There were also significant differences between the total and sub-scale post-test scores of the experimental group and control group students. In addition, a highly significant correlation was found between the evaluation score averages of the care plans with concept maps, and the critical thinking disposition post-test scores of the students. The views of the experimental group students concerning care plans with conceptual maps were as follows: they enable perceiving the patient/ individual as a whole, the cross links help see the relationships between concepts and help form cause-effect relationships, they encourage being creative, their visual nature makes the concepts examined easy to remember, and they turn care plans into fun.
