İlhan Berk şiirinde insan-dışı olanın varlığı : posthümanist yaklaşım

Abstract

Aydınlanma ile doruğa ulaşan hümanizm, modern çağda yaşanan pek çok sorunun altyapısını hazırlamıştır. İnsanı yaşam piramidinin en tepesine yerleştiren ve onun ilerleyişini mutlak bir hedef hâline getiren bu düşünce, zaman içerisinde yaşam dengesinin bozulmasına yol açmıştır. Bilimsel keşifler ve felsefi yaklaşımlar birbiri ardına eklemlenerek gelişirken bu süreç disiplinler arası bir kavram olarak posthümanizmin doğmasına da zemin hazırlamıştır. Posthümanist düşünce, yaşam alanı içerisinde gerçekleşen eylemlerin yalnızca insan türü ile sınırlı olmayıp insan-dışı eyleyenlerin de kendi sınırları ve varoluş biçimleri çerçevesinde aktif roller üstlendiğini kabul eder. Böylelikle insanmerkezli bakış açısının dışında, çoklu öznelliklerin oluşturduğu ilişkisel bir varoluş alanı görünür hâle gelir. Bu çalışmada öncelikle Aydınlanma hümanizmine yönelik eleştirilerin temelinde şekillenen posthümanist yaklaşımın genel çerçevesi çizilmiş ve posthümanizmin dayandığı kuramsal temellere değinilmiştir. Ardından, konunun daha iyi anlaşılması amacıyla posthümanizmle bağlantılı temel kavramlar açıklanmış; bu kavramların şiir eleştirisine ne tür katkılar sağlayabileceği tartışılmıştır. Burada özellikle insan-dışı eyleyicilerin şiirdeki temsilleri ve öznellikleri üzerine odaklanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın odak noktası olarak İlhan Berk’in şiirleri seçilmiştir. Uzun yıllara yayılan üretim süreci, dilsel ve imgesel çeşitliliği ile Berk’in poetikası, posthümanist bir okuma için elverişli bir zemin sunmaktadır. Yaşamı doğrudan bir şiir malzemesi olarak gören Berk, insan-dışı eyleyenlerin şiirsel varlığını yalnızca dekoratif bir unsur olarak kullanmaz; onların öznelliklerini dikkate alarak hayatın ayrılmaz parçaları hâline getirir. Şiirlerinde kullandığı dil, insan-dışı eyleyenlerin etkinliğini görünür kılarken aynı zamanda yaşamın bütünselliğine ve dolanıklığına işaret eden bir yaklaşım sergiler. Dolayısıyla hem Türk şiirine yeni bir eleştiri kuramı tanıtmak hem de posthümanist felsefenin detaylarını literatüre kazandırmak için böyle bir çalışmanın gerekli olduğu kanaatine varılmış ve konu titiz bir şekilde ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır.

Humanism, which reached its peak during the Enlightenment, laid the groundwork for many problems experienced in the modern age. This line of thought, which placed the human being at the top of the pyramid of life and made his progress an absolute goal, led to the disruption of the balance of life over time. While scientific discoveries and philosophical approaches developed in succession building upon one another, this process also paved the way for the emergence of posthumanism as an interdisciplinary concept. Posthumanist thought acknowledges that actions taking place within the sphere of life are undertaken not only for the human species, but also by nonhuman agents who assume active roles within the framework of their own boundaries and modes of existence. Thus, beyond an anthropocentric perspective, a relational sphere of existence shaped by multiple subjectivities becomes visible.In this study, the general framework of the posthumanist approach, shaped on the basis of criticisms directed at Enlightenment humanism, has first been outlined, and the theoretical foundations upon which posthumanism rests have been addressed. Subsequently, in order to ensure a better understanding of the subject, the key concepts related to posthumanism have been explained, and the ways in which these concepts can contribute to the criticism of poetry have been discussed. Particular focus has been placed on the representations and subjectivities of nonhuman agents in poetry. In this context, the poems of İlhan Berk have been chosen as the focal point of the study. With a productive process spanning many years, and with its linguistic and imagistic diversity, Berk’s poetics provides a suitable ground for a posthumanist reading. Seeing life itself as direct poetic material, Berk does not use nonhuman agents merely as decorative elements; rather, he integrates them as indispensable components of life by taking their subjectivities into account. The language he employs in his poems makes the agency of nonhuman agents visible, while simultaneously exhibiting an approach that points to the wholeness and entanglement of life. Therefore, it has been concluded that such a study is necessary both to introduce a new critical theory into Turkish poetry and to contribute the details of posthumanist philosophy to the literature, and the subject has been approached with particular rigor.
