Abstract
1. ÖZET Bu çalışmada Sakarya Üniversitesi’nde görevli öğretim elemanlarının rekreatif katılımlarının sosyopsikolojik boyutlarını analiz etmek, Sakarya Üniversitesi’ndeki öğretim elemanlarını daha mutlu, huzurlu ve verimli hale getirebilecek bilimsel verilere dayalı sonuç ve önerileri sunmak ve buradan çıkarılacak sonuçlarla tüm üniversitelerimize bu konularda yardımcı olmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni ve örneklemi Sakarya Üniversitesi’nde görevli öğretim elemanlarıdır. Bu alanda daha önce hazırlanmış birçok tez ve makalede yer alan anketlerden faydalanılarak hazırlanan ve 1274 kişiye gönderilen ankete 420 personel katılmış, tamamı değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. SPSS anketten elde edilen verilerin analizleri yapılmış, serbest zamanı etkileyen faktörler arasındaki ilişkiler çapraz tablolar vasıtasıyla incelenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, öğretim elemanlarının rekreatif faaliyetlere katılmalarını önemli ölçüde aile bireylerinin etkilediği, rekreatif etkinliklerdeki en belirgin motivlerin sağlık sebepleri ve dinlenme ihtiyacı olduğu, akademisyenlerin spor konusunda genelde izleyici konumunda oldukları, yürüyüşün yaş, cinsiyet gibi tüm faktörlerden bağımsız olarak en çok tercih edilen sportif etkinlik olduğu, Rektörlükten serbest zaman organizasyonlarında çeşitliliği sağlamasının beklendiği, bununla birlikte rekreasyon için uygun ortam sağlanması halinde katılımın artabileceği söylenebilir. Personel bir kreş ve etüt merkezinin, rekreatif etkinliklere daha çok zaman ayırabilmek için fırsat yaratacağına inanmakta, ekonomik yetersizliğe bir nebze çare olabilmesi adına başta yabancı dil kursları olmak üzere, akademik ve kişisel gelişime yönelik seminer ve kursların tüm personele hitap edecek zamanlarda ve içerikte planlanmasını talep etmektedir. Talep, öneri ve isteklerin bir kısmı üniversitenin maddi kaynak ayırmasını gerektirmektedir. Socıopsycologıcal Dimensions of Recreative Participation of the Lecturers Employed IN Sakarya University. The aim of this study is to analyse the sociopsychological dimensions of recreative participation of the official lecturers of Sakarya University, to present the suggestions and consequences related with scientific data which may make the lecturers of Sakarya University more happy, comfortable and productive, to help all the universities in Turkey on this subject with the drawn conclusions of this study. The universe and sample of this research is the lecturers of Sakarya University. A survey is prepared with the use of surveys, used in numerous previously prepared thesis and articles related to this subject, and this survey is sent to 1274 persons. 420 personnel participated in this survey and all of them have been evaluated. Data, obtained from this survey, is analyzed using SPSS programme, relations between factors that affect leisure are examined by crosswise tables. According to the findings obtained from this research, participation of lecturers to recreative activities is mostly affected by family members, the most important motives to recreative activities are health problems and the need of rest, academicians are generally in onlooker position about sports subjects, walking is mostly preferred sportive activity independent from factors like age and sex, it is expected from presidency to supply variety of recreative organizations, if suitable conditions are obtained the number of people that participate in that activities can increase. Personnel believe that day nursery and study center will create an opportunity to take more part in recreative activities. Personnel demand from presidency to plan firstly foreign language courses and to plan seminars and courses about academic and personal development with appropriate time and content for all personnel in order to cope with economical insufficiency. Universities should allocate financial resource in order to meet some of the demands, suggestions and requests of personnel. In addition to this for most of these demands, suggestions and requests, a good coordination and forming a unit with sharply defined duties can be sufficient.
