Publication: Maastricht kriterleri çerçevesinde Türkiye'nin kamu borç yükü üzerine ampirik bir çalışma
Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiyenin Maastricht Kriterleri çerçevesinde kamu borç yükünü etkileyen muhtemel faktörleri belirlemektir. Bu bağlamda, 2000 Q1- 2011 Q4 dönemlerine ait veriler ele alınarak enflasyon oranı, faiz oranı, bütçe açığı ve döviz kuru değişkenleri En Küçük Kareler (EEK) yöntemi ile analize tabii tutulmuş ve Maastricht Kriterlerine göre Türkiyenin kamu borcunun belirleyicileri incelen- miştir. Ampirik bulgular şu şekilde özetlenebilir: Türkiyenin kamu borcu üzerinde Maastricht Kriterlerinin diğer değişkenlerini oluşturan enflasyon ve faiz oranının azaltıcı; bütçe açığı ve döviz kurunun ise artırıcı etkisi olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.
The objective of this study is to determine the factors possibly affecting the net public debt burden in Turkey under the Maastricht Criteria. To meet this objective, Ordinary least Square analysis was conducted by using data covering the 2000 Q1-2011Q4 period for inflation rate, interest rate, budget deficit, net public debt burden and exchange rate. Empirical findings shows that inflation and interets rates have decreasing effect on the net public debt while exchange rates and budget deficit have increasing effect on the net public debt burden.
