Çağdaşlaşma sürecinde bir ideoloji inşası : Kemalizm (1923-1938)

Abstract

“Çağdaşlaşma Sürecinde Bir İdeoloji İnşası: Kemalizm (1923-1938)” başlıklı doktora tezinde, cumhuriyetin kuruluşundan Atatürk’ün vefatına kadar olan dönemde Kemalizm’in gelişim süreci incelenmiştir. Tez çalışmasında, öncelikle kavramsal bir çerçeve oluşturularak ideoloji ve modernleşme kavramlarının tanımları ile Türkiye’deki Kemalizm algısı açıklanmıştır. Bir modernleşme ve uluslaşma süreci olarak özetleyebileceğimiz Kemalizm sistemini hazırlayan faktörler Osmanlı dönemindeki reform hareketleri, düşünce hareketleri ve Atatürk’ün düşünceleri üzerinden incelenmiştir. Kemalizm, Atatürk tarafından bir ideoloji şeklinde kurgulanmamış olsa da Atatürk’ün yaşadığı dönem Kemalizm’in bir ideoloji olarak sistemleşmeye başladığı dönemdir. Bu nedenle ilgili dönemde, Kemalizm’in bir düşünce sistemi olarak gelişim süreci gerçekleşen parti kongreleri, Atatürk’ün fikir ve eylemleri ile bu dönemde Kemalizm’e etkisi olan dergiler ve kitaplar üzerinden incelenmiştir. Bu tez çalışması, ideoloji ve modernleşme kavramları hakkında dönemin Kemalistleri ile Atatürk arasındaki görüş farkını ortaya çıkarmaya yönelik bir hipotez üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. deoloji, Çağdaşlaşma, Kemalizm, Milliyetçilik, Demokrasi, Devletçilik.“Construction of an Ideology in The Process of Modernization: Kemalism (1923-1938)” titled Ph.D. thesis examines the development process of Kemalism from the foundation of the republic to the death of Ataturk. In the thesis, first of all, the definitions of the concepts of ideology, modernization and the perception of Kemalism in Turkey are explained in order to create a conceptual framework. The factors that prepared the Kemalism system, which is a process of modernization and nationalization, were examined through the reform movements and thought movements in the Ottoman period and Ataturk's thoughts. Although Kemalism was not designed as an ideology by Ataturk, the period in which Ataturk lived is the period when Kemalism began to be systematized as an ideology. For this reason, the development process of Kemalism was examined through the party congresses, the ideas and actions of Ataturk, and the journals and books that had an impact on Kemalism in the relevant period. This thesis study was carried out on a hypothesis aimed at revealing the difference of opinion between the Kemalists of the period and Ataturk on the concepts of ideology and modernization.
