Publication: İletişim sosyolojisi açısından örtmeceler : Dede Korkut örneği
Abstract
Bu çalışmada incelenen örtmece kavramı; inançları, değerleri, korkuları ve umutları yansıtan bir gösterge ve daha önemlisi onu kullanan insanların “diğerlerinden” farklarını gösteren, o insanları “özel” kılan bir unsur olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Örtmecelerin toplu yaşam biçiminde etkilerinin gösterilebilmesi adına öncelikle topluluk kavramı üzerinde çeşitli tartışmaların üzerinde durulmuş ardından dilin işlev ve nitelikleri bireyden başlanılarak toplumsal boyuta genişleyen bir biçimde tartışılmıştır. Çalışmanın son bölümünde öncelikle örtmece kavramı tanımlanarak literatürde tartışılan konular çerçevesinde inceleme altına alınmış, ardından Dede Korkut Kitabı’nda yer alan örtmeceler yapısal olarak göstergebilimsel analizle yoluyla incelenmiş ve yorumsamacı bir yaklaşımla değerlendirilmiştir. Dede Korkut eserindeki örtmecelerin çalışılması Türk kültürü, sosyal normları, tabuları ve dil kullanımı hakkında genel bir yaklaşım sunmaktadır. İncelenen örtmeceler Türk tabularının sosyo-psikolojik fonksiyonlarının anlaşılmasını ve örtmecelerin kullanımında sosyo-kültürel faktör ve motivasyonların anlaşılmasını sağlamıştır. Bu çalışma eserdeki örtmecelerin incelenmesi açısından bir ilk niteliği taşımasa da Türk toplumunun hassasiyet atfettiği konuların, eğilimlerinin ve inançlarının iletişim disiplini açısından incelenmesiyle önem arz etmektedir.
The concept of euphemism is addressed as an indicator that reflects beliefs, values, fears, and hopes, and more importantly, it shows the differences of the people who use it from others and makes those people special. To show the effects of euphemisms on the collective life, firstly, various discussions on the concept of the community were emphasized, and then the functions and qualities of language were discussed in a way that expands to the social dimension starting from the individual. In the last part of the study, firstly the concept of euphemism defined and examined within the framework of the topics discussed in the literature, then euphemisms in the Dede Korkut Book analyzed by semiotic methods and interpreted by hermeneutics. Studying euphemisms in Dede Korkut's work offers a general approach to Turkish culture, social norms, taboos, and language use. The examined euphemisms provided an understanding of the socio-psychological functions of Turkish taboos and the social-cultural factors and motivations in the use of euphemisms. Although this study is not the first by examining euphemisms in the Dede Korkut, for communication studies this study is important with reference to the issues, tendencies, and beliefs of Turkish society through euphemisms.
