İlköğretim II. kademe hesap çizelgeleri eğitiminde M.E.B. öğretim programına alternatif yeni öğretim programının geliştirilmesi

Abstract

Çalısmanın amacı; yetersiz oldugu düsünülen M.E.B’ in ilkögretim II. Kademe bilgisayar ögretim programında yer alan hesap çizelgeleri (MS Excel) konusunda, günümüz bilgisayar okur-yazarlıgı standartlarını saglayan ve ögrencinin günlük yasamında MS Excel programını bir araç olarak kullanabilmesine imkan tanıyan yeni bir ögretim gelistirmektir. Çalısma, bilgisayar dersinde kullanılmakta olan ögretim model olusturmaktadır. Bu baglamda gelistirilen yeni ögretim grencilerin gerek bilgisayar ve fen bilgisi ders basarıları gerekse bilgisayar kullanımına karsı tutumları açısında M.E.B’ in uygulamakta oldugu ögretim karsılastırılmıstır. Arastırmanın örneklemini, 2005–2006 ögretim yılında stanbul li, Pendik lçesi, 75. Yıl Mesut Yılmaz lkögretim Okulu’nun 7. sınıf ögrencileri olusturmustur. Çalısmaya toplam 80 ögrenci katılmıstır. Ögrenciler iki gruba bölünmüs, birinci gruba arastırmacı tarafından gelistirilen hesap çizelgeleri ögretim gruba ise M.E.B’ in ilkögretim seçmeli bilgisayar 4 ögretim uygulanarak ders islenmistir. Verilerin toplanmasında üç ölçüm aracı kullanılmıstır: (1) Fen Bilgisi Basarı Testi, (2) Hesap Çizelgeleri Uygulama Sınavı ve (3) Bilgisayar Tutum Ölçegi. Hesap Çizelgeleri Uygulama Sınavı, bu çalısmada veri toplamak amacı ile arastırmacı tarafından gelistirilmistir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde t-testi ve tek faktörlü varyans analizinden yararlanılmıstır. Arastırmada elde edilen sonuçlar, gelistirilen hesap çizelgeleri ögretim programının ögrencilerin gerek bilgisayar ve fen bilgisi ders basarıları gerekse bilgisayar kullanımına karsı tutumları açısından, M.E.B’ in ilkögretim bilgisayar ögretim programına kıyasla daha etkili oldugunu göstermistir. Bu çalısma, M.E.B’ in ilkögretim seçmeli bilgisayar ögretim programının, AB standartları dogrultusunda ve gelistirilen yeni ögretim ısıgında gözden geçirilerek yeniden düzenlenmesi konusunda rehber olacaktır.

IMPROVING NEW CURRICULUM AS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR CURRENT M.E.B CURRICULUM AT 6th, 7th, 8th, GRADES SPREADSHEET EDUCATION The aim of this study is to improve a new curriculum which provides the standards of today computer literacy and enables the students apply MS Excel program in his/ her daily life as a tool in the matter of spreadsheet in the computer lesson at 6th, 7th, 8th grades of current M.E.B curriculum whish is considered inadequate. The study becomes a model for the curriculum which is used in computer subject. In this respect; new curriculum, which has been improved, was compared with current curriculum, which M.E.B is applying in terms of both students’ achievement at computer and science subject and also their attitudes towards computer usage. The sampling of the study consists of 7th grades students of Istanbul 75. Yıl Mesut Yılmaz Primary School. 80 students participated in the study at all. The students were divided in to two groups. To the first group, the spreadsheet curriculum was conducted during the lessons. On the other land; to the second group, M.E.B primary education optional subject computer 4 curriculum was conducted. Three evaluation tools were used collect data: 1. Science subject achievement test, 2. spreadsheet application test, 3. computer attitudes scale. Spreadsheet application tests were developed to collect data by the researcher. The data which was obtained, was analyzed by using different statistical methods such as t-test and one way analysis of variance. The consequences that were gained from the study indicate that the improved spreadsheet is more effective than M.E.B optional subject computer 4 curriculum on computer usage and science subjects’ achievement and attitudes towards computer. This study will be a guide for scrutinizing and revising primary education optional computer subject of current M.E.B curriculum under the lights of new curriculum that has been improved in accordance with EU standards.
