Hatırlama krizi olarak modernite: düşünümsel bir hatırlama imkanı

Abstract

Modernite, Hatırlama, Bellek, Düşünümsellik ÖZET HATIRLAMA KRİZİ OLARAK MODERNİTE: DÜŞÜNÜMSEL BİR HATIRLAMA İMKÂNI Modernite, bireycilik, rasyonalizm, sekülerizm ve ilerleme ilkelerine dayanan bir görme biçimidir ve sürekli bir kriz durumu olarak tanımlanabilir. Geçmişten kopuş ve geçmişi yeniden inşa etme düşünceleriyle tanımlanan modernite bir hatırlama krizidir. Dolayısıyla modern görme biçiminden farklı bir düşünme biçimi farklı bir hatırlama rejimi ile mümkün olabilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, unutmaya dayalı bir sistem olan modernliğinkinden farklı bir görme biçimine imkân veren bir hatırlama rejiminin temel özelliklerini belirlemektir. Bu doğrultuda, modern zaman ve mekân anlayışlarının kavramsal tarihi ele alınmış, modern hatırlama rejimi üretim, tüketim, iletişim ve dolaşım biçimleri ve tarih ve bellek anlayışları ekseninde çözümlenmiş ve düşünümsel bir hatırlama rejiminin ana hatları ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda, yanılsamalara dayanan ve yanılsamalar üreten bir görme biçimi olarak modernliği anlamanın ve yeni görme biçimleri üretmenin ancak yanılsamaların ortaya serilmesi aracılığıyla gerçekleşebileceği anlaşılmıştır. MODERNITY AS A CRISIS OF MEMORY: A POSSIBILITY FOR A REFLEXIVE REMEMBERING Modernity is a way of seeing founded on the principles of individualism, rationalism, secularism and progress and can be identified as a permanent state of crisis. Identified by its ideal of breaking from the past and simultaneously restructuring it, modernity is a crisis of memory. Thus the possibility of a different way of seeing than that of modernity lies in the possibility of a different regime of memory. The aim of this work is to define the essentials of a regime of memory that would make possible a way of seeing that is different than the modern system of forgetting. Towards this aim, modern conceptualizations of time and space are discussed; modern regime of memory is analyzed, the axes of analysis being its modes of production, consumption, communication and circulation and its conceptualizations of history and memory; and the outline of a reflexive regime of memory is presented. In conclusion, it is asserted that the possibility of new ways of seeing lies in the exposition of the illusionistic character of modernity.
