Genç yetişkinlerde sorumluluk duygusunun özgüven, suçluluk ve utanç bağlamında incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, genç yetişkinlerde özgüven, suçluluk ve utancın sorumluluk duygusu üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesi ve bağımlı değişken olan sorumluluk duygusunun demografik değişkenlere göre farklılık gösterip göstermediğinin araştırılması çalışmanın diğer amaçlarını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, 20 yaş ve üzeri bireylerden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle ulaşılan 217 kadın (%72,3) ve 83 (%27,7) erkek olmak üzere 300 katılımcıdan oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak; Demografik Bilgi Formu, Öz-güven Ölçeği, Suçluluk-Utanç Ölçeği ve Sorumluluk Duygusu ve Davranışı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel analizi için SPSS 23.0 programından yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada, sorumluluk duygusunun cinsiyet, yaş ve eğitim durumu değişkenlerine göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını saptamak için Bağımsız Gruplar t Testi, Kruskal Wallis-H Analizi ve Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemek amacıyla Pearson Momentler Çarpım Korelasyon Katsayısı; özgüven, suçluluk ve utancın sorumluluk duygusu üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi amacıyla Hiyerarşik Regresyon Analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, sorumluluk duygusunun cinsiyet, yaş ve eğitim durumu değişkenlerine göre farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Bulgular incelendiğinde, kadınların erkeklere; eğitim durumu lise ve öncesi olanların, lisans ve lisansüstü olanlara göre daha yüksek sorumluluk duygusu düzeyine sahip olduğu saptanmıştır. Orta yetişkinliğe yaklaştıkça da sorumluluk duygusu düzeyinin arttığı görülmüştür. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler incelendiğinde suçluluk, utanç ve özgüven değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu ve bu değişkenlerin sorumluluk duygusunu yordadığı görülmektedir.

In this research, it is aimed to examine the effect of self-confidence, guilt and shame on young adults' sense of responsibility. The other objectives of the study are to examine the relationships between the variables and to investigate whether the dependent variable sense of responsibility differs according to demographic variables. Relational scanning model was used in the research. The universe of research consists of individuals aged 20 years and over. The sample of the study consisted of 300 participants, including 217 women (72.3%) and 83 (27.7%) men, who were sampled through convenient sampling method. As data collection tools in research; Demographic Information Form, Self-confidence Scale, Guilt-Shame Scale and Sense of Responsibility and Behavior Scale were used. SPSS 23.0 program was used for statistical analysis of the data. In the study, Independent Groups T Test, Kruskal Wallis-H Analysis and One-Way Variance Analysis (ANOVA) were used to determine whether the sense of responsibility differed according to gender, age and educational status variables. Pearson Moments Multiplication Correlation Coefficient to determine relationships between variables; Hierarchical Regression Analysis was used to examine the effect of self-esteem, guilt and shame on sense of responsibility. As a result of the research, it was observed that the sense of responsibility differs according to the variables of gender, age and educational status. When the findings were examined, it was found that women had a higher level of sense of responsibility than men, it was determined that those with a high school and pre-high school education status had a higher level of sense of responsibility than those with bachelor's and postgraduate degrees. As we approached middle adulthood, it was seen that the level of responsibility increased. When the relationships between variables are examined, it is seen that there is a meaningful relationship between guilt, shame and self-confidence variables and these variables tire the sense of responsibility.
