Publication: Çizgi filmlerde dini müzik unsurları : Rafadan Tayfa ve Niloya örneği
Abstract
Cartoons, which are in parallel with the history of cinema, have become an art that is defined by their visuals as well as their auditory. It can be said that the auditory intensity in cartoons is very high compared to movies. This intensive use shows that cartoon music is worth examining. In this research, it is aimed to reveal the religious music elements in cartoon music. Rafadan Tayfa and Niloya cartoons were selected from the most watched Turkish cartoons. 144 episodes of the Rafadan Tayfa cartoon, including the Ramazan Tayfa episodes, and 140 episodes of Niloya were examined one by one. Religious themes, expressions and symbols were extracted and their musical structures were examined. Vocal music usage and musical instrument selections are shown. The findings were analyzed with frequency, percentile table and various graphs. As a result of this examination, religious music elements were not encountered much in the parts of the two cartoons with religious themes and religious expressions and symbols. However, it is noteworthy that these elements are musically satisfying and suitable for the religious music framework.
