Abstract
Babanzade Ahmet Nairn Türkiye'de, üniversite düzeyinde felsefe eğitimi tarihinin önemli isimlerinden biridir. Onu 1910-1933 yıllan arasında nerede ise bütün felsefe grubu derslerini (Felsefe, Psikoloji, Mantık, Metafizik, Ahlâk) okutan bir hoca, modern Batı felsefesi metinlerinin Türkçeye aktanlması konusunda büyük çabalar sarfetmiş bir mütercim-müellif ve modern felsefe-bilim-mantık terimlerinin Türkçede nasıl karşılanacağı hususunda en dikkatli ve en geniş tartışma metinleri kaleme almış bir yazar-mütefekkir olarak görüyoruz. Bu yazıda onun hayatı, tercüme ve telif eserleri ile özet olarak düşünceleri ele alınmaktadır.
Babanzâde Ahmet Nairn is one of the considerable names in the history of philosophical instruction of academic level, in Turkey. We consider him as a professor who taught nearly all the philosophy courses (Philosophy, Psychology, Logic, Metaphysics, Ethics) between 1910-1933, a translator-author who greatly endeavoured for the translation of modern Western Philosophical texts into Turkish and an author-thinker who redacted the most attentive and most extensive texts of debate about the translation of the modern philosophy-science-logic terms in Turkish. In this article are treated his life, translations and original works and briefly his thinking.
